I actually enjoyed that Flintoff documentary that he did. The training completely knackered Flintoff, and he admitted several times it was a lot harder than he imagined.

Granted his actual fight was against somebody who turned up to lose, but it was tucked away on an undercard on Allegedly. I can't imagine many casual fans watched it. It wasn't even like he was the main event.

I bet more people saw his documentary, when he was saying how difficult it was and how much respect he had for the boxers than saw the actual fight.

I never really saw the harm.

The harm is that any ex substance abuser looking for a new lease of life as they hit 40 will think they can do it.
When they allow the Ricky Hattons of this world into premiership football I think we should consider it.
Giving Flintoff a licence has set the precedent and we can't turn the clock back.
