I live 50 mins WALK from the arena...and would have snapped up tickets at a respectable price...but who the fornicate charges full price on the day of the show?

I agree. Seems a very silly decision for a guy that has been promoting fights for a long time.

"I still had him the clear winner because Joseph missed a hell of a lot. He's not had a good decision but there you are, this is boxing."

At least Hennessy is now assured of a career as a stand-up comedian now that his promoting career looks to have fallen on its face.

I think a very serious matter for him is what platform he uses going forward, to get his fights on TV/online. The production of the broadcast last night would have been very expensive, and it needs paying for. However he's managed to get last night's show over the line, in future it may be difficult, if last night has indeed cost a small fortune. A new show is a new venture and for folk to put their money up, they have to see some indication of a likely return.

I think Mick gambled everything on waking up this morning as manager of the new WBO champion. It will be a long road back for Hughie and its going to be difficult for Mick to steer him back to world title contention, in terms of investing in decent opponents, training camp costs, paying Hughie the going rate for a top ten contender, all balanced against ticket sales and TV revenue. Whilst a heavyweight remains unbeaten there is an attraction of sorts, but Hughie now has a loss on his record and there won't be a clamour to see him in a big fight. He is very capable at what he does but he doesn't bring excitement or put bums on seats.

Feel sorry for Mick, you have to admire a guy who takes a big risk.

I admire the fact that he tried something new.

Things like this only become the norm because someone in the past took a gamble & won.

Unfortunately for Hennessy, he lost.

I believe the should have charged a nominal fee like £5 & he would have had a lot more takers & it might have paved the way for watching little 'big' fights in the future.

It was a bad idea being PPV, neither fighter is that well known and it was also rushed, the youtube thing seemed to happen at the last minute, I've just watched it this morning and it was hard to see how many were in the arena, has there been any confirmation.

Think it got to 8,100 when free but can't see if getting above 10,000 region - not even close to paying the card/costs,

Hennessy and the Furys messed around Parker for months, faked an injury to get the fight over to the UK, put on a joke of a show which they couldn’t sell tickets for, then tried to fleece boxing fans further by charging £15 for a fvcking YouTube stream.

Hughie let Mick down big time with his performance. I hope this fight came out of Peter Furys deep pockets. It's him who brainwashed poor Mick into thinking that Hughie could win the title. Never and no chance.

Hennessey really does come across as a broken man, I’m guessing thats because he is now, you could see it on his face during the interviews that he knows what this has cost him!

I know the scores were a bit wide but thats boxing, the judges have scored the fight as they see it, so hennessey get over it and stop making yourself look more of a ***** than you actually are by keep going on about agenda’s, next it will be the race card just because the Fury’s are travellers, could the problems with the governing bodies be actually down to you, I’m guessing the officials don't like being called ‘Idiots’

Hennessey not going to get anywhere with an appeal as Hearn has that WBO belt already tied up, so why don't he just save his money and not add to the £1.5 million plus loss he will make on this show as he doesn’t have the means now to recoup any loses. Wonder what does he business partner think about losing a shed load of cash, will he keep on investing now? Was his partner there last night?

It’s going to be very interesting as over the coming months it will tell us if hennessey has survived this but a search on the web brings up some interesting reading regarding his previous companies.

I feel bad for him but it was a farce from the off, he can't have any complaints about the result, the scores were a bit too wide but Fury did fcuk all apart from flick out the odd arm punch and hold, you shouldn't be able to win a title fighting like that.
