Just looking for a quick update? I know he hasn't got his troubles to seek privately but has he retired? Does he still train? I can't remember the last time I heard some boxing news about him?

Well, he's not officially retired, or you'd know about it.

His career has certainly stalled though. He went through a long phase where he seemed to do nothing other than beg Floyd or Pac for a fight. I think he rolled the dice in that, he decided not to take any fights so he'd be ready if and when the Floyd offer came. It didn't. His career has never really recoved, he just became kind of irrelevant on the World scene.

In fact, just checking the dates, I didn't realise it had been so long since he fought Alvarez. May 2016, and as you say not a peep since.

In my opinion, he should've fought Brook when Hearn was trying to get it going. But he just seems content to let his career stagnate.

Last I heard, he was looking for a fight before year-end

Still waiting patently by the phone for Arum or Ellerbe to call

I also heard about a potential fight between him and that Indian boxer. An India v Pakistan deal.

I'm sure there's a catchy curry inspired tag line

Talking about Khan; What has happened to Frankie Gavin. Has he retired now? I was super high on him when he first turned pro. I regret that prediction lol.

I'd like to see that too, Khan looked good against Canelo for a few rounds until the inevitable stoppage loss but Saunders doesn't bang as hard as Alvarez and isn't as fast as Khan so it could be a very decent fight. Not sure how Amir would fare against a genuine middleweight though as Khan/Canelo was at 155 lbs wasn't it? Saying that, Canelo bulks up a hell of a lot after weighing in so maybe not a big issue.

In his last interview with Boxing news he did mention a potential fight with Lamont Peterson or a match up with Thurman and Spence but in all honesty they were mentioned after a return fight but no proper names were said.
He talked about a big fight with Brook being possible but Brook would have to leave his manager since Khan doesn't like Eddie Hearn.

Realistically I think he's done. his last fight ended badly for him, with Khan staring blankly up at the ceiling and all the talk of a comeback keeps stalling due to one reason or another.
If he want's to prove a point I'd want him to fight someone like Tewa Kiram - A Thailand based boxer with a record of 38-0 and 28 TKO/KO wins to his record, if he fights even half as hard as the the Muay thai fighters do over there, Khan will be in for a fight and it'll prove if he can last a tough fight again.
Otherwise if he want's one last big showcase for himself fight someone like Andre Berto for the vacant IBO welterweight world title and retire win or lose.

Apparently Canelo weighed 187 against Khan.

I doubt if Saunders gets that heavy after the weigh in

187 lbs? I refuse to believe that Canelo put 32 pounds on between the weigh-in and fight! Thats like, more than two stone ffs and I thought there was a limit to rehydration weight nowadays?

I think Saunders vs Khan should become the new Brook vs Khan topic, the more I think about it the better it sounds

Yes I was another poor fool who tipped Frankie for super stardom, he'll probably emerge as a great trainer in years to come!
