Great fight - but Rigo is too small to severely trouble Lomachenko

See this being a more technical version of Crawford v Gamboa. Loma too big and will stop Rigo late after a few knockdowns.

Going to be extremely interesting to see how Loma deals with Rigo’s style & movement. But agree that the size difference will probably be the deciding factor.

Lomas is going to absolutely destroy Rigo and I can't wait for it.

Lomas has too high an output and too smart for Rigo to set the pace against.

I actually fancy Loma to ko him in 3 rounds.

Such a shame the fight wasn't made at FW.

Also I've never been convinced of Rigos age. Think he used the same passport office as Liston and Ortiz.

Rigo is most likely going to get destroyed.

Quigg should have been the man to do Rigo in.

Quigg would have lost by a wide wide margin

Imagine him doing what he did against Frampton, against Rigo. With a 6 round advantage going into the second half of a fight, I can think of no better fighting style to retain that lead and/or punish Quigg when he started getting desperate and taking chances.

With Gallagher he would have lost clearly, but with a proper trainer he'd deal with the pretentious Rigo.

With Gallagher he would have lost clearly, but with a proper trainer he'd deal with the pretentious Rigo.

With Gallagher he would have lost in embarassing fashion.
With a good trainer he would perhaps fair better and still lose, in my opinion.

Maybe, but I think Rigo is hugely overrated and that Quigg is significantly underrated, so maybe I'm a bit biased here.

Rigo has done so little since beating Donaire 4.5 years ago, that he may well be washed up and no one's noticed, because he fights such low level opposition.

If I promoted Quigg, I'd have definitely been looking to have him fight Rigo before the move up to featherweight.

You may have a point with Rigo, we won't know until he is tested.
But we can confidently say he WAS a better boxer than Quigg.

Whether we agree on the outcome or not, we can agree it is a fight that we'd like to see. I think if Quigg approached it in the right way, it could be an interesting blend of styles

You never know, it might yet happen at 126lb
