Yeah, way more. I've heard of guys cutting 15-20 pounds in a day. Big weight class variances compared to boxing and a lot of wrestlers who are used to cutting crazy amounts.

I like how the dude in the last fight lost a pound after weigh-ins.. and his opponent gained 24. The bloated boy lost though.

My god, 30 effing pounds? That is horrific. Yes, it's bad in MMA. I hear they were using IV's legally and stuff.

That's George Roop... listed at 6'1". This weigh-in was for a 136lb fight. Probably one of the "worst" weigh-in photos.... but not one of the absolute worst...

It's cowardice and lack of honor to compete in weight class sports in this manner.
You're supposed to work out and be healthy and find the number closest to that.

The worst I ever "heard" of is a guy named Marcus Davis.
He weighed in at 154 on a Thursday. The prior or following Monday (interview wasn't clear.. either way), he was 207.

Good Lord. I don't see how that wouldn't cause something inside to shut down or something. That's gotta be HORRIBLY unhealthy for your inner workings and such.

I re-reviewed the interview.. not completely sure if he was referring to the prior Monday or the following one.. I think the latter.. either way, still absolutely nuts.

Probably a late replacement and he had to gain weight to make it.

How can that be possible? If you are like 207 and go on a very strict diet you might lose two pounds in a week.
