Former two division world champion Tomasz Adamek (51-5, 30 KOs) is pushing forward with his career and the next bout of his latest run has been finalized.

Adamek will face veteran Fred Kassi (18-6-1, 10 KO) on November 18 as part of the big card in Czestochowa, Poland. Adamek, who turns 41 in December, has continued to fight despite calls from some of his loyal fans who would rather see him retire from the sport.

The Polish veteran is 2-3 in his last five fights. Adamek gained widespread popularity with hard fought fights in the United States, but he hasn't fought on American soil since March of 2014 - when he lost a decision to Czar Glazkov.

Adamek is going to get seriously hurt if he keeps fighting.

Kassi looked piss poor against Miller and that was last year.. Adamek should win this.

Maybe so but then what ? He is just going to keep fighting and a younger fighter will wipe him out and do serious damage.

He has had a very good career and could have gone out on a win.

I read on Boxing Scene that he's broke, it was on their forum page. So that might be why he keeps on fighting, but I agree, these small fights against nobodies isn't going to help.. I doubt he's even ranked by any orgs.

Some might be foolish enough to think there is a big gap between Adamek and Kassi. But there is very little gap. I think I might pick Kassi to win.

When I had some polish guys working for me about ten years ago, they were mega high on Adamek. Apparently he was the bare knuckle champion of Poland too. A big name amoungst gangs since a young age. Basically a street fighting boxing legend. I can only imagine how tough his life has been. To hear he is broke is sickening. It's stories like this make me glad I never stuck out boxing.

Why should Adamek be broke? he seems like a nice sober guy. Also he doesn't seem the type to have been involved with Polish gangs (like Andrew Golota), but what do I know?

Just because you're sober or not linked with gangs doesnt mean you cant be broke. Plenty of ways of bein broke.. investment gone wrong?

True enough, but the gang part was a response to what Tomasino said.

Sober Pole an oxymoron? He made good dough fighting Vitali and presumably decent pay several times before and after. A joke if he couldn't make anything of it.
