Best Atmosphere

I remember walking out Ricky Hatton for the Jose Luis Castillo fight & thought fcuk me it will take a lot to beat this atmosphere ... bloody brilliant

But last Saturday, I walked out Mairis Breidis & I promptly siht myself the atmosphere was that good.

One to note ... I remember walking out Gonzalez for his 2nd fight against Clinton Woods & a member of thr crowd shouted to me "fcuk off back to mexico you bald pudendum" ... I presumbed he was shouting at me as I was the only bald pudendum there :OhYes:

Whats the best atmosphere you have experienced at a show?

The atmosphere at the Breidis - Perez fight really came across on the TV so can only imagine what it was like in person.

The best atmosphere I experienced was in The Point Dublin for the Bernard Dunne - Ricardo Córdoba fight in 2009. That was something else.

The Hatton Castillo fight was one of the best I've seen via telly. Joshua Klit was the other.

The best one personally (& I've shared this on here before) was Benn v Lou Gent but that was probably because of a combination of me taking an E before the fight & all the Gent fans singing "Saaf Laandahn, Ragh Ragh Ragh" over & over.

I was at Benn Eubank II but we was in a corporate box so you didn't really feel it as much.

Benn-Gent was the first pro fight I ever went to. It was a good atmosphere and intimidating for a young guy.

Been to quite a few fights and the one that sticks out was the Benn v Mcclellan fight, there was a dark sense of menace in the air which was chilling. During the fight itself we were on our feet all the way through and only sat down between rounds ourselves and at the end, grown men who did not know each other were hugging and cheering.

Benn v Eubank 2 was "ok" but for me was just a typical big passionate crowd feeling, very different to the Mcclellan one which was about half the crowd size I imagine.

I dont know specifically, but crowds were way more animated before the health and safety days.

If you look at the vid of Been-Eubank 1, it’s insane.

Lucky sod ! the Mclellan fight is probably my favourite fight to watch, seen it hundreds of times, watched it in a pub at the time and it was effing mental, can only imagine what it was like being there, have watched the U.S version a few times, it gives the fight a different feel

I honestly think mine was at the York Hall when Johnny Tapia guested on a FW bill.

His entrance was fantastic with glitter ticker tape etc. real 'hairs on the neck' stuff.

Wayne Alexander EBU fight topped the bill I think

Was a good one that was pretty moody when the fight was stopped.

Gavin/Bundu at the civic was really good atmosphere too. Be glad when they've sorted the civic out n get some boxing back there.

Froch v Bute was very good and Frampton Quigg, you'd have to say Froch Groves 2

I've mentioned this before.

Cotto vs margarito 2 in MSG. Packed full of Puerto Rican and Mexican fans, majority Puerto Ricans baying for Antonios blood, as you can imagine. Every time cotto landed to the damaged eye of margarito the crowd went fanatical. Fortunately cotto got the revenge that night.

Nothing beats Hatton-Kostya for bouts I've attended. Stadiums are crap.

I was about 24/25. I remember that Steve Collins was on the undercard (I think) in a boring fight against a South African. He had a dull style until he reached about 30 then he suddenly went all out attack.

I had a choice to go to that fight but A - didn't want to see Benn get badly hurt (I thought Gerald McDogwanker was a killer) & B - was going to a special gig at Starsky & Hutch (a 70's style club in London around then) then off to the Ministry of Sound (who would let in people who had been to S&H without queueing). I watched a woman in lingerie dance INSIDE a speaker that was hurting me 30 feet away. She's probably still deaf. Or mad.

I think I danced with Danni Minougue that night. But it could have been another time or I might have dreamed it in a drugged up state :maybe:

It might have been Danny Baker.

Froch v Bute and GGG v Brook were the best atmospheres of fights I've attended live.

Bernard dunnes v Cordoba was unreal and mcgregor fights in ufc are amazing when the music starts

Frampton and crollas last two ights were also very good

Cotto in msg really exciting

I won't be popular for this but a few hayemskers atmospheres were good. Really liked the chisora fight as it was strange due to the rain
