Why oh Why have Sky decided to bring in the Fight Skool graphics to this new Friday fight night.

Its tacky and horrible. I accepted on fight skool, because fight skool was supposedly a seperate production, designed at attracting a different audience. It was an additional programme and I treated as a bonus.

However, this was cheap and not needed - it is not a bonus programme, it is our (the viewers) main programme of boxing. Sky has already shown the contempt it is developing for boxing by scheduling it at 10 on a Friday night. But please can you realise the people above the age of 20 watch the game aswell.

ESPN may be going out of boxing, but at least they are keeping its dignity and treating the game with the respect it deserves. I don't see any other sport (apart from WWE) with such stupid graphics and sounds.

yes they suck obviously sky cant be bothered to think of any new ideas. HBO are they best where they do a live picture of the venue after the start. Boxing after dark is just a good.

Stu, I agree with you completely mate, the graphics are tacky and those stupid whoosh sound effects are just so annoying.

On the plus side I'm glad to see we are getting Hopkins V De La Hoya on SKY PPV.

Not that, it costs quite a bit of money to produce those indents and they will want to utilise them as much as possible even tho they are a piece of tacky shite.

sky save money by hicking up tv packages

There is nothing wrong with the Friday night time slot. WWE was in that slot for years and apart from Football it is the most watched program on Sky Sports.

Different target audience (well it should be). I don't want to offend any WWF fans here, but its main audience are school kids. Most people into boxing would like a quiet evening socialising after a hard weeks work.

There is a big difference between boxing and wrestling, but Sky do seem unaware of the difference.

I fear for Boxings future on SKY I really do.

But the good news is we are getting Hopkins V DLH on SKY PPV.

Most sky main events are mismatches. at the end of the year when we do the biggest miss match of 2004 it will go on forever.

They were at it again on Friday night, the cheesy early 1980's hip-hop/electro theme tune.

Then those tacky graphics with that annoying whoosh sound every time they appear.

They really do my head in.

Yes they suck. they are just as bad as the fights.

I should have turned the volume off and listened to it on Radio 5.

SKY introduce expensive sounds and graphics and then hike up our subscription fees...so they technically belong to us

True, but shots of the Barnsley Metrodome and Nottingham Ice Rink are not quite as tasty as some of the venues on HBO!!!
