Any of Fury's future contests will still be for the lineal world title (and the 'Ring' magazine belt) regardless of any organizations sanctioning. This will be the case until he either loses or really retires from boxing.Glass Joe wrote:Also looking on the BIBA website it looks like they are not affiliated with any of the real world boxing organisations so he isn’t going to be able to fight for the WBC / WBO / IBF / IBO or WBA titles. So will we see him fighting for the WBF title against Danny Williams? if so great move by Tyson and his advisers.
But not the proper Irish one?danconnollyeire wrote:British and Irish Board of BollocksCoco wrote:Which board is this? The Irish one?
Doesn't matter who it is, as long as it is not an exhibition match and the opponent is a professional boxer.Loynesy wrote:I think if he fights an absolute turkey, it's valid to say that's not for the lineal title.
Nope, in real life Britain and Ireland are two separate countries lol. It's as legit as calling a board the Congo and Russia Boxing Authority... I mean, calling it the British and Irish Boxing Board technically excludes Northern Ireland... which isn't part of Britain or Ireland yet Rogan is signed-upCoco wrote:But not the proper Irish one?danconnollyeire wrote:British and Irish Board of BollocksCoco wrote:Which board is this? BIBA also 'license' boxers in Afghanistandanconnollyeire wrote:Nope, in real life Britain and Ireland are two separate countries lol. Ok, a guy heavily involved.leejonesjnr wrote:mickey1975 wrote: important BIBA guy
So if he fought the guy ranked 357 on boxrec it would be for a lineal belt (ring) belt?SteveO wrote:Doesn't matter who it is, as long as it is not an exhibition match and the opponent is a professional boxer.Loynesy wrote:I think if he fights an absolute turkey, it's valid to say that's not for the lineal title.
Same. Used to like Tyson and was a big supporter early on. Then he became boring and tedious. Used to be a genuinely funny guy and now it's the same drivel time and again. Bible quote - bible quote - bible quote - call out AJ and Wilder saying both are bums and he could beat both on the same night - fifteen bible quotes - I've had enough of boxing - a smattering of bible quotes - not been in the press for a while, say something daft about women/gays/Jews - I'm coming back - Jesus is lord - I've retired again - picture in a kebab house - more bible.tobyh5 wrote:Replying to this thread contradicts me hugely but I find everything to do with Fury exceptionally boring now and flick past any YouTube recommends that pop up with him in them and hardly read threads or news reports. It is a repetitive, repeating cycle of bullshit which has no validity as it changes by the hour. Retired, not retired, drug hearing to sort it, drug hearing called off, lost two stone, put on three stone, coming back for his belts, fck the belts and does not need them and on and on.
One swallow does not a summer make and beating Wlad in that one night in Germany does not make him a superstar. I was never on the AJ train and if I am honest was a bit of an anti-AJ man previously but now, as things have played out, I think he knocks this version of Tyson out with ease and think potentially this version of AJ beats the Fury of two years ago.
Yep.nitro5912 wrote:So if he fought the guy ranked 357 on boxrec it would be for a lineal belt (ring) belt?SteveO wrote:Doesn't matter who it is, as long as it is not an exhibition match and the opponent is a professional boxer.Loynesy wrote:I think if he fights an absolute turkey, it's valid to say that's not for the lineal title.
I highly doubt it

Do the IBF have a Congo East/ Russia West champion yet?danconnollyeire wrote:Nope, in real life Britain and Ireland are two separate countries lol.
