They seem to be everywhere; obviously Joshua doesn’t go out without his Under Armour tracksuit etc etc

I believe Golovkin and Canelo were also both wearing their gear in the buildup to their uneven and anticlimactic middleweight bout. How many high profile fighters have they sponsored?

I even saw Ring magazine using product placement, “He was wearing an Under Armour tracksuit...”

Anyone wear their stuff? Is it good “technical” equipment? Anyone think their stuff is ugly and sick of looking at it?

In America they’re responsible for the most hated trainers in the country, the Curry Lux, I realised.

They are everywhere in every sport, their marketing budget must be immense and yes those trainers are proper snide

Had a look on wiki. Just says Joshua, Alvarez, Golovkin, Gervonta Davis and Carlos Cuadras Under sponsorship

they will give free shit out to just about anyone

It pissed me off when one of Ring’s top writers wrote “he was wearing an Under Armour tracksuit.” Seemed a bit inappropriate giving such emphasis on the brand of someone’s tracksuit

You can find a lot of their stuff in Sports Direct can’t you?

It's naff and a couple of years ago the under armour share price was like $40+ and now it's circa $15+ as kids aren't buying it and it's heading into discount bins in wholesalers.

Much prefer the old school stuff like Russell Athletic & Champion.

UA will go the same way as British Knights, SPX and Troop.

I doubt their ‘technical equipment’ is any better or worse than Adidas/Nike/Reebok or any other generic sports brand.

As C-P mentions above, the Under Armour business model seems to revolve entirely of giving away their products to any sportsman/team who will wear it, then use the brand recognition to sell overpriced trainers & t-shirts to the mass market. The Welsh rugby team currently wear everything UA, so they sell a lot of stuff here at the moment.

there's a little clique that trains in my gym and the trainer is walking round like he's billy big balls because he got some free kit off them, strutting round all proud in his crappy UA trainers, its rather sad

I wouldn't expect you to know they're mainly an American football sponsor. That's why I told ya. If I remember correctly the guy started out of his mom's basement. Hardly overnight, but I can see how it could look that way over there.

The most comfortable trainers for running i have ever used imo, also i have a pair of black work boots and they are far superior to the magnum boots i used before

The gear is decent, especially for training in. I wouldn't buy the trainers but then I can't buy anything not Pure Boost now, they are so comfortable.
