There were certain short fighters who have a long wingspan or reach. For example, Luis Manuel Rodriguez stood 5'8" and had a reach of 74". Also, Tiger Flowers stood 5'10" and had a reach of 76". Bert Cooper stood 5'11" and have a reach of 78". Do you know any short fighter who have long reach?

Tommy Hearns - 185cm, 198cm reach
Deontay Wilder - 201cm, 211cm reach
Sugar Ray Leonard - 178cm, 188cm reach
Floyd Mayweather Jr - 173cm. 183cm reach
In MMA there's quite a correlation between the real elite fighters having a disproportionately long reach for their height. From a 5 minute google it looks like boxing has the same correlation.

Dwight Muhammad Qawi had a fairly long reach for a short guy didn't he?
Montell Griffin comes to mind too. He was short, but often preferred to use his jab, and fight from the outside which he did well.

When I asked short fighters with long reach, it doesn't include fighters who are 183 cm or taller with a long reach, which I forgot to mentioned in my criteria. SRL and Floyd are standing under 183 cm and have long reach are fine. Hearns and Wilder are 183 or taller with long reach doesn't count.

Actually, "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler stands at 5'9 1/2" and had a 75 inch reach as his arms are still long.

Qawi stands between 5'6 to 5'7" and had a 71 inch reach, which his arms are long as Mike Tyson.

Wow.
Given all the power he brought into the ring, and the guys he knocked out relative to his size. Sam Langford was just like a freak of nature or something. The stuff you read about him is absolutely astonishing.

One thing with wingspan is the width of the shoulders which on a wide fighter may give a longer reach than their actual arm length

My bad though it was longer. He seemed to have big wing span despite being small heavy

Actually, Tommy Burns stood 5' 7 1/4" tall and had a reach of 74". Sam Langford, another great Canadian athlete, was 5' 7 1/2" tall with a similar reach of 74". These have been verified. Tom Longboat, the great Canadian First Nations marathon runner of that period was also only 5' 7" tall.

Nicholas Walters is only 5'7" X 130... He has and tremendous reach. 73 inches.
He jabbed the living crap out of Nonito Donaire.. but couldn't get the punch on Lomachenko.. It seemed a detriment to him in that fight, his only loss. He's going to be punished now like Gary Russell.. He's not going to be able to get fights.
