Not very impressed with Yoka.
Very reluctant to let his hands go.
Rice was a little bit more seasoned than you'd expect for a 2 pro fight but really Yoka just ran and didn't seem to like throwing punches.
I suspect he also doesn't like getting hit.
The knock down was clearly a slip.
Jury def out on big tone

if youve seen yoka in the amateurs, you know there is good reason to question his stamina and punch resistence. honestly, i think hes gonna get ko'd hard before establishing himself as world class.

Hrgovic seems to be the most impressive of the recent prospect moved from amateurs so far

I've felt from the start that Yoka is third behind Hrgovic and Dychko in terms of big amateurs that have recently turned pro.
It will be interesting how quickly they progress him; I can't see him beating Duhaupas within the next year or two unless he improves.

I enjoyed that fight. Yoka certainly doesn't like to get hit. If I were his team I'd probably move him a bit slower than what they are currently doing.

It's easy to look good when you're fighting corpses, which is what Dychko has done thus far. Dychko still hasn't fought an opponent with a boxrec rating greater than 0. Yoka just beat a caliber of opponent that Dychko won't step-up to until like his 14th fight. Plus Dychko is 2 years older. I bet that when Yoka is 27, he won't be feasting on corpses with boxrec ratings of 0.

so using your age and medal formula, can you tell us exactly what each hrgovic, yoka, joyce, and dychko will accomplish. wut if they turned pro 5 years earlier? should we yell at anyone who suggests one of them may end up doing better than one of them who is younger?
and what level will gorman and dubois reach

when u posted that reply above i could just sense your disgust at the thought that someone who is 27 could do more than someone who is 25. can imagine ur be glued to these guys fights waiting for 'told you so!'
can only imagine ur glee if 'ancient' joe joyce lost to lewison

Gorman > Yoka > Dubois > Hrgovic > Dychko > Joyce
Something vaguely like that. Obviously 25 and gold > 25 and bronze > 27 and silver > 32 and silver. Gotta give Gorman mega props for being the #62-ranked professional at age 21, considering that Yoka, Hrgovic, Dychko, and Joyce have not reached such a high professional rank at much older ages.
Dubois is the most high-variance one to rank, given that he's only 20. But the ultra aggressive matchmaking is a good sign. Howe and Barragan are very aggressive match-ups for a 19-year-old heavyweight.

barragan was a lhw and howe is chinnier than tom dallas. not aggressive at all. a typical 4-41uk journeyman wouldve given more of a fight.

Okay, so which current heavyweights were fighting better professional opponents when they were 19?

thats your problem. you just look at it as 0 for the guys who were still amateur at 19, when they were prob fighting much better comp then than guys like howe and a fuckingg blown up mexican lhw. howe and barragan arent agressive at all, even for that age.
and actually, if u want to play the age game, most of the top hws of last two decades stayed pro until 20s. i dunno man, maybe 19 was too young.
