Because he lost badly to Vasyl Lomachenko when Loma had a grand total of 2 professional fights. If Russell knocked Frampton, Santa Cruz, Cellar, Selby, and Mares all out---which he would if he fought them---it would be a big boost to Lomachenko. That's the last thing Haymon or his buddy Floyd want.

It's a 75 year old former boxer, trainer and world record holding power lifter that thinks Robinson and Ali sucked, benitez and Whitaker we're easy to hit, the heavyweight division has never been better and Marvin hagler couldn't box. Its true. Never in a million years would floyd give credit to loma, but black boxer get credit like dawson who according to floyd was the next p4p #1 back than or broner, now davis.

Diaz wants to be the best and he is not afraid to fight the best to get there. A loss to TRex Jr will not end his career. A win puts him in the mix with the best.

I think that fighters should be praised, not labeled fools, for challenging the best. Trout is a good example. He never shied away from a challenge.
