Will Saunders pull out from the fight with Lemiux via injury ?

I could see this thing happening. This fight is signed to take place on Canadian soil and I don't see Saunders to be the type of fighter going overseas and fight a dangerous opponent like Lemieux. I hope I'm wrong because is a good fight.

This is the kind of fight that you think it's gonna happen only when the first round begins.

I hope Apollo is not correct because this is a great fight for Saunders that could mean huge money and rise in public opinion. It's a great fight because I think that it's the most winnable money making fight he could have signed right now. He'll make some nice coin for this one and should he win, that will set up a big payday next year with the winner of the rematch. Or perhaps a fight against D.Jacobs.

i do find it strange that he agreed to fight in Canada though. Why are these champions agreeing to give up the home field advantage in these fights? Strange.

The fight will be made and it will go ahead whether the fight happens in the UK or abroad - the same result will happen as well, BJS by UD.

I wonder for what amount of money has BJS agreed to go in Canada ?

It's hard to think Saunders would leave his comfort zone, unless he's getting pay very good.

He is similar to Fury cousins. Can easily get injured.

I don't even think it's that good of a fight. That being said, saunders has no reason to fear lemieux. He's better.

I doubt it. It's a fairly even matchup. Saunders would really only be in danger in the first 3 or 4 rounds, if he can get through that he probably gets the decision on Lemieux or possibly stops him late. I'd lean toward decision though.

Lemieuxs only chance is a hometown decision. Though with saunders activity level that shouldn't be too hard to accomplish. 35 misses can easily outpoint 4 jabs and a left per round.

Plus with a guy like Lemieux even if some of those 35 misses hit Saunders gloves they could still move his body a little which would give the illusion of a landed punch which doesn't hurt either in terms of having it scored in your favor.

When you take into account what could be stake longer term for Billy Joe Saunders should he emerge victorious against David Lemieux. I cannot see BJS pulling out of it having not only expressing an interest in taking the fight but also agreeing terms on fairly quickly as well.

Where is the OP getting his feelings from that Saunders would pull out? He’s chasing bigger fights and now got one, yes Lemieux is huge but it’s better than what he has been facing

u think lemieux has no chance in a fair judged/officiated fight?

BJS picked the wrong melon farmer to fornicate with. He might have a few point lead before he gets stopped, but he is likely getting bludgeoned. Lemieux is still strong in the later rounds and BJS, isn't. Couple that with Saunders inconsistency, looked like shit to average in recent fights, and he's getting handled.

If Saunders will fight Lemieux in the same shape he fought Artur Akavov then he's getting stopped.

Yes exactly right. He may get stopped late even in good shape, but if he comes in bad like the Akavov fight he is getting KTFO in under 6 rounds. Lemieux attacks non stop from the opening bell, has a chin, and lethal power. BJS finally took a dangerous fight, good on him.

That's why I'm so surprised. I won't believe it till the opening bell of this fight rings. :OhYes:

Lemieux has previously rejected an opportunity to face Saunders, due to the “risks” being “high”, since he wanted bigger fights.

The Canadian is also said to have “the hands of a man aged 70-80.”

So I guess the question should really be…

“Will Lemieux pull out from the fight with Saunders via injury?”

Something tells me BJS is going to find a way out of this one somehow but i'm hoping not because I think that this fight is going to fantastic. If BJS can avoid bombs for 6 or 7 rounds then I think he can get Lemieux out of there late. You?

I think Lemieux will be very motivated to become a champion again especially in his home country and he'll go for the kill against Saunders. Saunders better be in tip-top shape or he'll get KTFO.
