Mentally tough.

It must be really difficult for our modern boxing superstars to stay focussed. They're now surrounded by teams, consisting of individuals who depend on the success of the boxer to earn their pay packets. All of them give out advice and I suspect very few are confident enough to criticise when they see mistakes.
Very few world champions have the strength of character , and indeed the intelligence, to remain independent enough to follow their own agenda. Three figures from the past stick out in my mind, who were their own men. Marciano, Hagler and Eubank.
Love him or hate him, Eubank was the boss and this was to his benefit. He was never anything less than in tip, top condition for every fight. Hagler and Marciano were the same, emphasised by the fact that they retired when THEY chose.
Time will tell with Joshua. But I suspect the young Eubank is the same as his dad. I'm warming to Junior, Groves and DeGale better watch out.
