Not heard him mentioned here, but for those who don't know much about him, or had their eyes closed during the Rio Olympic games, he's a 25 yr old, very mobile 6 7" HW who won the Super HW gold in Rio, beating Hrgovich & Joyce on route, and he's a bit of a character. He works with Virgin Hunter I believe, and is signed to Ringstar.

He's 2-0, and I think its time for us to including him in the current HW mix chat now.

get him to 10-0 then put him in with Takam and Duhaupas.
build Joyce to Price and Chisora.
Then stick them in with each other...

6'7? he grew 2 inches since the olympics then!

wasnt impressed with him last fight at all. serious doubts about his chin and ability to hold up under pressure. thought he got a lot of generous decisions. looked a bit upright and punch timid last time out. but yes, as olympic and world amateur champ hes worth keeping eye on.

Boxrec & wiki both have him as 208 = 6 7"

he was always listed as 6'5' (maybe 6'5.5') until turning pro. now the listing has changed...become 'professionalized'. or maybe he really did have a spurt at like 25 lol

but whatever, he's still obviously a tall guy. just not that impressed given his amateur credntials tbh. the 7-2-1 guy he just beat was competitive.

I prefer the look of Dychko. Although some have said that his chin is questionable aswell.

Can see him becoming a popular fight and getting to world level.

Probably see him becoming world champion but not a dominant one. Saw to many flaws in his game for the pros.

Most suited to pros in 2016 was Hrgovic IMO.

I thought Joe Joyce man handled him, and many have doubts about him turning pro. If he can't hack pressure fighters he hasn't got a future.

Hrgovic looks very sloppy to me. Kinda similar to Vitali actually, although that didn't hurt the latter in fairness!

I think the heavyweight division is so low on talent, that someone who can hold his hands up can be ranked in the WBC top 10.....

Never impressed me in the Amateur championships. Extremely lucky in the worlds and the Olympics.

Can't seem him getting to world class even in these crap times at Heavyweight.

him and his wife got loads of generous decisions. they big wigs wanted gold for them.

He’ll be worked in to a title shot, then Joshua decapitates him.

Hrgovic is better, as already mentioned above. Yoka lost at least two in the Olympics and arguably even more when he won the worlds apparently!

tbh not even sure if he makes it to world title shot before getting stopped. already looked uncomfortable against his second opponent. maybe he still has nightmares of the ams ko losses and knockdowns.

Yes I think a strong one forward guy will cause him big problems

I had Joyce beating him in the Olympic final.

I think he will be the Tyrell Biggs of the pros.

I can see the analogy, but to be honest Tyrell Biggs IMO was a much better amateur - a different style but as an amateur he reminded me of Calvin Brock - no where near as good as his record / tournament wins suggest. I would say there are several amateurs in RIO who were actually better than him, not just Joyce.
