I am the 1st person to throw caution on overhyping a prospect so early in his professional career.
But ... josh Kelly ... massively impressed thus far.
Is anyone else?

Missed him last night as I had the BN card on. Been really impressed so far though yeah

Read the fight report this morning and it sounds as if he was pretty impressive again.

I'd rather hold back until he faces legitimate competition.
Countless times we see fighters we like early who can't take shots and fold.
Hearn will need the likes of Kelly to step up significantly next years. His stable is nowhere near as strong as it used to be.

Yea I prefer to judge fighters when the opponents get a bit more sturdier
So far so good though

I instantly want to dislike anyone calling himself pretty boy.
But yes, he hasn't put a foot (or hand) wrong yet

I heard you have a nightgown with 'pretty boy' embroidered on the back

Very impressed with his last fight. First time I've seen him and his opponent was reasonable for Kelly's 4th fight. Hand speed, foot work, reasonable defence.
Eddie seems to have him.on the Hearn 'sink or swim' fast track.
Definitely one.to look out for.

I reckon moving him faster than Okolie & Dubois makes sense, but talking about Mimoune & Theophane is possibly too far. Even Josh Taylor is moving slower than that.

sink or swim? he has 1 opponent in the top #600 and none in top 400. deffo like what i see but those guys have pretty much empty records. its like conor benns last 3 opponents.looks nice at first but not so much if you actually look into those fighters
of the 2016 batch kelly has best speed and reflexes at this level so far

I like kelly but not sure if I rate Buatsi as a slightly better prospect. Those 2 both stand out for me as promising

Holding my judgement til he has a step-up in opponent.
Him and Booth seem made for each other though. He’s got a style that Booth loves.

I really like the look of Kelly and the fact that Booth has said he’s best he has work with at this stage of his career speak volumes. Very interested to see how his career goes.

For sure
Booth is well sold on Josh's ability. I have respect for his opinion and it was the first time I got to see what he was talking about last week. And I was impressed. It will not be long until Kelly has a decent opponent we can use as a measuring stick. From what Eddie is saying, that will come about this time next year. He has plans for Josh to fight 4-5 times in 2018.

Considering the amateur system in this country has produced predominantly upright, stiff, high guard type fighters down the years. It is refreshing to see some of the current crop have a bit of upper body movement and attacking variety.
I've been impressed with Taylor so far, Butsi looks good also but Kelly seems the most naturally gifted of the lot.
They all have a long way to go, but they look the part so far.

yeah like the look of josh as well , think he could go far looks a very exciting fighter as well ,he is in a very competitive division , so it really has to be boxing work rest and play , he could easily be led of the path as he is very marketable

I like Booth but I seldom respect the opinion of any trainer/manager/promoter discussing his own fighter
Prime example being Billy Nelson on here. Got all the time i the world for his views on the game and appreciate he's forgotten more about the sport than I'll ever know. But when he starts talking about his own fighter, I switch off

true always better coming from a passing trainer, but that dont happening much
