Vitali and his WBC resume

Similiar to Wilder. Total joke :) He faced bum after bum and ducked every single bigger fight.
Why do people keep overrate Vitali? Wladamir was better!
Who has actualy Vitali fought? Fat washed up Lewis?
I wont even mention he looked like a crap in his recent fights.
Vitali < Wladimir
Prime Lennox vs 38 years old Vitali - Lewis via murder

Both brothers beat outmatched opponents throughout there career who had not much chance to beat them. But Wlads opponents were better than vitalis
Ironically probably both in defeat had there finest moments that got them most respect. The Joshua and Lewis fights.

Vitali < Wladimir
Prime Lennox vs 38 years old Vitali - Lewis via murder
Vitali won his fist 27 fights by KO... The longest KO streak that includes 3 Heavyweight Championship Fights... Vitali was beating Lewis on ALL SCORECARDS at the finish of their fight -- and if the fight when to the scorecards he would have WON by UNANIMOUS TECHNICAL DECISION 6..
Vitali is a 3 X Heavyweight Champion... He's the ONLY Heavyweight Champion who has never been knocked down and was never behind on points after ANY of his fights... His only 2 losses came by injury.. By a badly cut left eyelid and by a completely severed Rotator Cuff Assembly when he was ahead on points by all 6 judges.. He's the only man to ever KO Larry Donald, Vaughan Bean, Kirk Johnson, and others.. He owns the 2nd highest KO ratio of any retired Heavyweight Champion.. Despite being heavily ducked, he defeated 6 undefeated Heavyweight Contenders and 6 World Champions, including 4 Heavyweight Champions.

Vitali was getting his ass whooped in last round. You talk like he was looking great in that round. All he did was eating brutal uppercuts and hugging whole round. He was DONE

90% of this post above is fluffing up a situation to make it sound good, when it really is bad
- Lewis legitimately beat Vitali on cuts. Cuts is part of boxing
- Vitali legitimately lost to Byrd by retiring injured. Byrd is fortuitous, but injuries happen
- Donald, bean, Johnson are utter nobodies
- never been knocked down, knock out % etc. It’s all worthless by fighting bums. Bums is an over used term in boxing, but not here. Is it more important to you that a guy can smash up bums and generate 50-0 with 49 ko or a guy who is mixing it with the best for a 30-2 record 20 ko.

There is no doubt Vitali is a first ballot hall of famer. The guy was a beast, was beating Lennox with one eye and put him hiding into retirement. Came back from retirement after 4 years and still dominated at the age of 40. Could of probably continued dominating well into his 40s if it wasn't for the need of going into politics.

Perspective
Lennox at the end of his career, unfit unmotivated
Out boxed early by Vitali
Was getting a foot hold in the fight
Wrecked vitalis face and won on cuts
Retired on his terms. End
The Vitali lewis fight gets warped like Vitali was putting on some kind of master class. He started quick and picked up couple early rounds but lewis was clearly dragging himself back in that fight, and was landing huge shots, it’s no wonder vitalis face was hanging off. He lost

Vitali doesn't belong on the Hof ballot.

Vitali clearly fought better than Wilder has. At least they were ranked opponents. And let's not forget Haye and Valuev backed out of matches with Vitali.

Backed-out or simply failed to agree terms? There's a huge difference between the two.
In my eyes, the A-side can't submit low-ball offers to the B-side and then subsequently proclaim "duck" if they are subsequently turned down.
Professional boxers are known as "PRIZEfighters" not "PRIDEfighters", so they won't going to step into the ring if they aren't being paid their worth.
Put it this way (an extreme example to make my point clear), if I offered GGG $1 to fight me on a HBO PPV, with the TV revenue being split 50-50 between both parties, would it be reasonable for me to boldly proclaim that Golovkin is “ducking” me if he subsequently rejects my offer?

For now he has, barely, vitali backed out of fighting Rahman. Happens all the time.

he came out of retirement to face the
WBC title holder without tune up. he
stepped up to lewis on short notice.
no, sir, wilder still has to show he is
willing to do things like that.
no, vitali had no shining, brilliant
career and yes, he underachieved
compared to junior. but still, show
me the name on wilder's resume
that substantiates your claim.

Yup, shockingly bad.
It's amazing people talk about him like an ATG.

Don't worry WIlder has plenty of time to achieve as little as Vitali.
It's interesting that his boxrec ranking is so low when he has two things that normally accumulate a lot of points, a lot of KO wins, and a long career.

It's disgraceful, usually people go to Corrie Sanders like he accomplished anything. Fact remains, Vitali rates with the John Ruiz types and he's no Chris Byrd.

and the much maligned ruiz actually beat holyfield, rahman, oquendo, golota, mccline, and even already beat kirk johnson before vitali did and when johnson in far better shape.

Yeah, I rate Ruiz higher. He also fought better fighters than Vitali did after he was old. Chagaev, Valuev, Haye, etc..

Ruiz has been in the ring with better fighters, but Vitali is clearly the better boxer of the two. His career is wafer thin but come on

C'mon what? You rate fighters on whom you think was more talented or would win h2h?
