All jokes aside do you think if a boxer abstains from bonking he will perform better? Apparently Larry Holmes reckons he took two days off a week to chill and get laid. Ha ha

I thinks its a myth to be honest. how the hell is a 2 minute bit of leg over going to effect a training regime? The only plus side i can think of is that going with out sex makes you want it more so trying to concentrate on training until that special night might get more out of a boxer.
I can remember, and hope someone can too and finish off this story, but there was a fight a few years ago and in the interview just after the fight the boxer did say something to the effect he was going to sort his mrs out, the interviewer did apologise on live tv at the time. Somethnig makes me think the boxer was Frank Bruno after the McCall fight but i could well be wrong.

It's a teaspoon of jizz, not your life force. I'm sure it's fine.
Unless the nookie is an endurance event in itself of course. Then you might want to dial things down a bit until after the fight.

I can certainly understand it. All about unbridled aggression. Also, I’m sometimes absolutely shattered after a session with the bird. Lol at Mimmys 2 mins

It's fine to have sex with a partner at home before a fight; what weakens fighters is those who are out chasing women.

I know, right?! Who lasts anywhere near as long as two minutes? Some people just can't help giving it large online, I guess...

And that is definitely not an endurance event! I reckon sex is fine as long as you're not it at it all night long.

Scientific benefits of semen retention:
The semen is a viscid albuminous fluid, alkaline in reaction, which is very rich in calcium and phosphorus, also in lecithin, cholesterol, albumen, nucleoproteins, iron, vitamin E, etc. In the ejaculation of the normal man, about 226 million spermatozoa are given off; these are rich in phosphorized fats (lecithin), cholesterol (the parent-source of sex hormones), nucleoproteins and iron. An ounce of semen is considered to be equal in value to sixty ounces of blood, of which it constitutes an extract of some of its most valuable constituents, as far as its vitalizing power is concerned. Dr. Frederick McCann remarks on this point, ‘From what has been stated it must be admitted that the spermatic fluid does possess potentialities justifying the belief of ancient writers concerning its vital properties.’ ...

One of the best fights I’ve had was after a night nesting - the empty leg thing isn’t true

"Nesting"?
I generally agree with you though- I doubt a bit of a leg over a couple of nights before makes much difference to the outcome (ho!) of a fight.
