Boxers make a fraction of what he made. No other fight comes close to that. Joshua and canelo are the only active fighters that come close to his UFC paydays.tiny_acres wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 15:15He makes a fraction of what he made in boxing in the UFCpunchoutsb wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 14:59Parlaying massive paydays from the drivers seat is the opposite of desperation.tiny_acres wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 13:51 The guy knows he'll never be able to make even close to the amount of money in UFC.

From the figures I just read Connor made 9,542,000 total UFC career earningsSaadOffTheDeck wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 15:25Boxers make a fraction of what he made. No other fight comes close to that. He made 15 million in the second Diaz fight. The top guys make way more on the ppv buys than they do on the reported earnings. I believe the ballpark number for his UFC earnings is 40 million. He'll be bigger when he goes back after likely generating the biggest payday the UFC has ever had. I'd guess he'll be around 20-25 million for his next fight. Boxers being so overpaid is what killed the sport here. While some of the fighters are under valued McGregor hasn't been ripped off at all.tiny_acres wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 15:37From the figures I just read Connor made 9,542,000 total UFC career earningsSaadOffTheDeck wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 15:25Boxers make a fraction of what he made. Only 3 of his fights were million dollar plus fights.

He is parlaying massive paydays from the drivers seat. That is not desperation, your initial point was flawed.tiny_acres wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 15:15He makes a fraction of what he made in boxing in the UFCpunchoutsb wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 14:59Parlaying massive paydays from the drivers seat is the opposite of desperation.tiny_acres wrote: ↑01 Nov 2017, 13:51 The guy knows he'll never be able to make even close to the amount of money in UFC.

Floyd didn't carry McGregor.. Floyd was using forearms and elbows viciously and going for the finish on a tiring McGregor as hard as he could.. Conor went out as soon as Floyd could arrange it.. If they had a rematch McGregor would do much better.. He learned that he has big time stamina issues because he DIDN'T DO ROADWORK!!! Every once in a while there's a freak of nature like Toney who doesn't have to do roadwork.. 99.9% of boxers can never get away with that. If you have stamina issues, they will disappear with a great regimen of running and sprinting..
I disagree, FM let him punch himself out in the first few rounds, he was smiling most of the fight and later admitted he didn't train too hard. Snr also said his son hardly trained. McGregor was blowing after 4 rounds and FM hardly broke into a sweat. Even then he managed to stop the bigger man without too much effort, something he hadn't done in 6 years. It was a farce and was only made to make multi-millionaires even more money.

If you can't do that 5 miles in 30 minutes and recover very quickly from your run, you WILL get tired against a top skilled opponent who has great conditioning.. He can be on your ass for 12 and you're not ready for it..
If you can click off the miles like nothing and you're still getting tired -- you can't box worth a shiit. You're getting hit in the head too much and that gets you exhausted from the nervous energy expended trying to survive.. McGregor slips punches very well, but he has a fuuked up stance and his defense is a screwed up.. His head is in the air so he's wide open.. That can be corrected quickly if he brings in a top boxing coach..
I’d say the other 4 guys put a worse beating on mcgregor than Mayweather did. That’s if they didn’t carry him. They are all bigger punchers and more attacking. Mcgregor has no business boxing guys of this qualityLackeos wrote: ↑02 Nov 2017, 00:07 I feel like Mayweather - McGregor 2 would not have a lot of appeal to anyone who saw the first one (even though it was decent entertainment compared to most of Mayweather's fights). I think it is a lot easier to sell McGregor against a fresh opponent. I feel like McGregor's most lucrative prospective opponents would be...
1) Pacquiao
2) Mayweather 2
3) Alvarez
4) Cotto
5) Khan
However, from a competitiveness perspective, I would personally prefer that he were matched against Pacquiao, Cotto, or Khan.
