Obviously, Wilder vs Joshua would be a huge fight right now, but who should AJ and Wilder fight before facing each other to make their fight as big as possible? Lets say, they'll fight each other on April-May 2019 at the Wembley Stadium and each of them has three fights in 2018.

I'd say Wilder should face Dillian Whyte and Dominic Breazeale - I think he will KO both of them faster than AJ did, which will obviuosly add more intrigue to this megafight in the eyes of boxing fans. Then in the end of 2018 Wilder should unify title against Joseph Parker, which will give him as many major world titles as AJ has.

AJ should face Jarrell Miller (providing he beats Wach), then David Haye (providing he beats Bellew in rematch) and finally Tyson Fury (providing he returns to the ring). Too many "ifs" in Joshua's case, and Fury fight would be extremely risky, but we are talking about ideal scenario.

It sounds like WBC is giving Ortiz a pass, so I don't see why not him.

However, for British promotion, it would be more beneficial if Wilder fought Whyte and/or Parker.

I can't imagine a better way to bring this fight to a proper boil that to match Wilder with Stiverne again and Arreola again.

But seriously, I think Wilder's resume is a lot weaker than Joshua's, and is probably going to fall further behind in the near future. The Miller - Wach fight is going to produce a damned great contender, so I would prefer that Wilder fight the winner of that. There aren't any other specific match-ups that I care about, given fighters' current schedules, drug-testing statuses, and the fact that a lot of heavyweights really have bad momentum right now. Other than that, it would be awesome if Wilder fought the Povetkin - Hammer winner.

However, I would really like to see the top 25 heavyweights rebuild from their current situations. Good fighters that haven't recovered from their latest loss include Chisora, Hughie, Teper, Jennings, Haye, Takam, Duhaupas, Ruiz, and Malik Scott. Presumably top 25 heavyweights who don't have any legit wins against good opponents include Martin, Breazeale, and Browne. So these are all fighters who I think, at this point, would not do anything to raise the stock of Wilder or Joshua until they mount a proper comeback and/or face each other to produce a super contender.

Maybe they should make Shannon Briggs vs Deontay Wilder. Shannon offered Wilder 2m like 3 years ago which would still be Wilder his biggest payday ever right now!
