Great match up but a weight adavantage that's hard not to notice.
Has there been a change of heart toward this fight ?
Lomachenko is a 6/1 favorite .. is that too high ?

I think Loma stops him.

Rigo has always been chinny, even against poor punchers. He's been lucky so far he's managed to avoid any real KO artist. Loma isn't one punch KO but he's got more pop than most of Rigo's opponents. He'll stop him in the mid rounds.

I don't think size will matter in this one. That's too high. More like -175.

Yea its a little too high, I too, don't think size will matter much here. Also the weight jump might even be good for Rigo being that he's 37 yrs. old. He looks like a beast in his recent training camp clips.

these two deserve the focus that floyd vs mcbum recieved.

this is an outstanding contest imo.

Yeah for me this is the two best in the world going at it. Should be getting more attention than it is.

i feel like it might be awful tbh. rigo being ultra defensive and loma just edging most rounds by throwing more (prob mostly those tapping shots) but not really landing much.a boring ud in which rigo has little offense and lomas offence looks ineffectual.

loma really good but he dicks around to much for me. his fight with the thai guy in particular was just a totally bizarre display of fornicating around. he couldve stopped that guy earlish yet when hed hurt the thai hed decide to immediately start circling nonstop and pranzing around with a self satisfied smile like a tool.i dont find him much better to watch than rig.

in a division full of action fighters he stinks it up for me. also im not convinced hes thebest at 130 like like others are, berchelt and davis are really good and i think would beat everyone hes faced.

Let's see if these two are as entertaining. If this was a ppv, I wouldn't buy it. I bought the farce and enjoyed it.

I think that i agree with Jamamb. My initial feeling when hearing that this fight was signed was excitement. But then I started picturing the action and in my mind, I'm not sure that this fight is going to be very good. For the diehard, we will appreciate the skill level on display. But one of the two fighters is going to have to sell out and take some chances in order to make this an exciting fight. If it turns into a counter punch fest then YAWN. There's nothing i hate more than a counter punch fight for 12 rounds where one guy spends the whole round daring the other guy to throw anything but a jab.

I hope that i'm wrong.

I think it may be better than we think. Imo the pressure is more on Loma to perform well especially since he has a distinct size and age advantage. I think he will press the action more than he usually does. Rigo can always use the excuse the weight jump was too much, especially at this stage of his career.

 Nothing like the “true, Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Alba are naked in my bed, but I bet they will be boring together” crowd.

I feel the same about Loma, too much unnecessary movement, much prefer the more economical style of Rigo and think he has a real shot at winning this

In terms of technique & physical atributes arguably the best fight ever. This is boxings elite. I dont want to hear nothing about how boring rigo is, so was floyd, but no one can say that they are not techniquly outstanding.

There have been rarly boxer who were super athletic and super techniquly.

Pernell, mayweather, robinson, leonard, jones, rigondeaux, ali, mosley, lomachenko. 9 come to my mind, if i d think further a couple more. But 10-20 boxer out of 1000000 boxer who boxed since 1900. This is an ultra rare list. N now we get the ultra rare oppurtunity to witness 2 of them to fight each other. Rare, phenomenal, people dont realize.

Yeah, very well put Tanz but let's hope their misgivings are unfounded. I prefer to be optimistic and look forward to a techniqul master-class.

the analogy would be more suited to describe two extremely entertaining fighters being matched and then ppl expecting a snoozer.in rigo for exampke we have a notoriously boring fighter, so his part would be like having a boring negative lover, and then matching him with an average at best lover entertainment wise. of course its reasonable not to expect fireworks, even if some thrusts, carresses, etc are tehnically proficient.
