IMO, Toney, Rigondeaux, and Lomachenko don't even belong on the poll; and Pacquiao and Tyson only loosely merit inclusion. But since I know this is a poll of your 10 favorite fighters, I think the results of this poll might help correct your evaluations of some of the fighters you most overrate.

Some fighters that I think might have been better inclusions are... Bernard Hopkins, Terry Norris, Aaron Pryor, Michael Spinks, Carlos Monzon, Marvin Hagler, Julio Cesar Chavez, Alexis Arguello, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Larry Holmes, and Andre Ward.

Whitaker and SRL are two fighters who I consider to be super exceptional, so I would pick either of them.

Can’t say I’m qualified to post although will be interesting to read what people say or counter. But Hagler. He could do it all. And his domination of the middleweight division itself, which is known as a weight where speed in addition to power could be equal with the lower weights (speed) and equal with some of the higher weights for power.

why does pac only loosely belong. i mean hes obviously not the top choice, just like norris and spinks arent, but why specify him?

Roberto Duran (1), "Sugar" Ray Leonard (2), Julio Cesar Chavez (3), Floyd Mayweather Jr. (4), Manny Pacquiao (5) Roy Jones Jr. (6), Bernard Hopkins (7)

The poll doesn't have Bernard Hopkins or Julio Cesar Chavez, but it has Rigondeaux, Toney and Lomachenko. FFS! :brick:

Surely some of the following fighters were better (in terms of overall ability) or at least far more accomplished (with their talent being proven against vastly superior quality opposition) than the likes of Rigondeaux, Toney and Lomachenko?

Ricardo Lopez, Juan Manuel Marquez, Evander Holyfield, Oscar De La Hoya, Marvin Hagler, Carlos Monzon, Alexis Arguello, George Foreman, Salvador Sanchez, Larry Holmes, Aaron Pryor, Miguel Canto, Michael Spinks, Khaosai Galaxy, Felix Trinidad, Lennox Lewis, Wilfredo Gomez, Bob Foster, Jose Napoles, Azumah Nelson, Eusebio Pedroza, Thomas Hearns, Wilfred Benitez, Antonio Cervantes etc. :o

It’s easy to argue that a lot of the names I’ve mentioned in this post were even better than Mike Tyson, who has somehow been included in this poll!

How the hell could you even put Loma and Riggo on a list like this? Come on people. Jip even you are better than this. I'm mad at myself for even participating in the poll like this. UGH.

What's wrong with Tyson being on the list? If Cus hadn't have died, and if he hadn't fallen out with Micky, and if he hadn't married Robin, and if he didn't rape that bird, and if he wasn't diddled by Don, and if it wasn't for the hanger onners, and if he didn't do drugs etc, he'd have beaten God himself!! :bag:

I just figured it out. You're my annoying-ass co-worker who disagrees with literally everything I say, and you've found me on boxrec. If you're going to quote me and disagree with me literally everyday, then I'm done acknowledging your existence.

Toneys on there but not Ali?

I voted Leonard. But I think Duran, Whitaker, Jones and Mayweather are also good choices.

For me a prime time cassius clay was in the 60s, rather the bigger slower muhammad ali.

I didnt want to go their. But you pushed me into it.

Hopkins is overrated. Great career. At his peak losing to a b level like taylor.

Hagler the real deal. Couldnt touch leonard. Not more impressiv than the 10 i listed.

Chavez, he was losing to athletic boxer. So how would he handled ultra athletic boxer like pac or floyd who are better than him in every departmant speed, footwork, reflexes, timing. Got gifts. Meldrick prime and pernell prime> chavez prime

Holyfield, lewis, holmes in prime shape all look inferior to tysons prime shape. No hw ever looked as exceptional as tyson did in the 80s. Lewis might ve beaten him, but only because he weighed more and was much taller, not because he was a better boxer. Prime kovalev would beat a prime leonard, but not because kovalev is a better boxer than leonard, but because he weighs much more and is much taller.

Ward is a joke right?

I only know the super stars of the 80's including the 4 kings. Hagler was a very complete fighter Jip. Southpaw and Orthodox, could box and move, could slug, inside game, distance and timing, power, granite chin, stamina and an experienced 15 round fighter. Leonard out boxed him although Hagler more than touched him, he hurt Leonard in one of the later rounds. I should know the specific round as its my favourite fight. That fight and Mike Tyson are what made me a fan of international super star boxing. I've shifted on Tyson somewhat, although he achieved far beyond the norm, in that he should or could be in jail or dead.
