Jacobs is too slick for BJS. Jacobs with a comfortable UD.

Jacobs everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.

Need power to deter Jacobs. BJS doesn’t punch hard enough.

Not the fans, what a suckfest that would be. Jacobs would win though.

would be an awful fight. lemieux-jacobs far more entertaining and probably a first half stoppage for jacobs. would spare us the dullity of jacobs decisioning bjs or stopping him late.

Jacobs would give Bill a very hard time of it in there but Bill would come through it and win on points imo, might not be much in it but I got Bill on points

I think BJS beats Canelo (as long as the fight isn't in the US) but I think Jacobs would be a very hard fight for BJS. I would slightly fancy Jacobs to win that one.

I can't recall Jacobs chasing down anyone. He moves well.

Pirog? But he's improved since then, and he's only lost to the division's best at the time. Jacobs is too smart to get drawn into a losing chase; I think he's patient and deft enough to cut off space and win the majority of exchanges on his own terms.

Saunders throws a lot his power shots wide (in combinations, at least) to deal with his opponents' potential head movement, but I don't think he'll be able to lock Jacobs in place that way.

I think BJS beats Jacobs after lastnights performance...

USA is huge. Most American boxers are only big in their own state TBH.

USA is huge. Most American boxers are only big in their own state TBH.

That's the thing though. USA is huge, there is probably a whole state in the US somewhere that hasn't even heard of Jacobs maybe more. It's too big to travel around and costly. The way I see it, every state is like it's own country there. Wilder won the WBC belt in Vegas, defended it in his homestate where he would sell the most, and only fought at the Barclays when he's fighting a decent/good opponent.

It's the same for a lot of fighters in the US. Spence is fighting in Dallas next.

Boxing is not what it used to be in the States.

Neither are big draws at the box office. Both have sold well in one-off fights (Eubank, Golovkin) but on their own, against fighters they’re supposed to beat, they don’t do big numbers at the gate.

Jacobs is being well backed by HBO though now so I’m sure, if Warren/Saunders are willing, they could make a fair offer for BJS to fight in the US.

jacobs is an hbo main eventing fighter, id think there would be pretty good backing there in the context of guys who are not major stars

btw i think jacobs wouldve routed lemieux too, since the lemieux fight suddenly everyone is easy work for bjs but the other top mws are totally different from lemieux, generally much faster and vastly more skilled. not saying bjs couldnt get it done though.
