When John Henry Lewis retired as the reigning light heavyweight champion after being knocked out in the first round by his friend Joe Louis, who gave him the world heavyweight title shot in January 1939 at the aged of 25 due to the eye retina, Lewis' light heavyweight title was vacant and Billy Conn won the vacant NBA and World title after beating Melino Bettina to unified with Bettina's NYSAC title. What if John Henry Lewis' eye was healthy and fought on and defending his world light heavyweight title against Billy Conn in their prime? In my opinion, Lewis would school Conn behind his left jabs and combinations from long range to retain his title with a 15 round decision. What is your opinion?

That's a likely scenario, but Conn had a good chance of.beating Lewis.

Yes, Braddock split the two fights with John Henry Lewis before Braddock upset Max Baer to win the World Heavyweight Title. :TU:

This would have been a very close fight. They would have been pretty evenly matched. Would have almost for sure have gone the distance. Might be a tough fight to score with a lot of close rounds.
