Austin "No Doubt Trout (30-4) may have just fought in October but he isn't planning on staying out of the ring for very long. He hopes his next ring appearance comes much more quickly than his last one did.

"I am hoping (to be back) early next year. I don't have anything lined up. I am already back in the gym. I will be sharp and ready now that I knocked off the rust from a 17 month layoff - and now that is out of the way I will be as sharp as ever," Trout told BS.com.

fter having faced the 6'1" Hurd and Charlo who now campaigns at middleweight, Trout said that he hopes to fight someone who is closer to a true super welterweight in his next bout.

Trout believes boxers like Hurd and Charlo walk around very heavy and do everything possible to squeeze down to 154 - and then rehydrate back with a sizable weight advantage over their opponents.

While he believes he can hang with anyone at 154 pounds, he believes that his power will be more noticeable against someone closer to his stature.

"It would be nice to fight somebody my own size one of these days," Trout said laughing. "(Hurd) was a big dude but I took both those guys shots very well. I just noticed that when I would hit them they wouldn't go nowhere. When I fight somebody my own size I think you guys will see that I do have power but these guys are big."

He can still be a contender, and upset the apple cart for a few prospects trying to make a name off of him. With the way they hand out titles these days I can never say a guy can't capture one, but I don't think he'll ever be back in the Top 5 of the division let's put it that way.

Trout is a tough man with solid boxing skills, bring on Julian Williams, or Michel Soro. If he can defeat them, challenge Charlo for a title

Lubin looked tiny compared to Charlo. Charlo (the one at 154) and Hurd definitely belong at 160 lbs. Actually, Hurd probably belongs at LHW. Dude is enormous.

Trout showed enough against Hurd to suggest that he can still compete at or at least near the top level IMO. The skill level wasn't a problem in that fight, the problem was that Hurd's size and pressure meant that Trout was working unbelievably hard to win those early rounds and couldn't sustain that pace. Against average sized Light Middleweights he should be able to rely on his boxing more, as long as the Hurd fight didn't take too much out of him.

The weight of his next opponent is a lot more uninteresting than the quality of his next opponent. This dude is like "Start getting excited, because my next opponent is gonna be 5' 8", and he's gonna weigh 163 on fight night." Yeah, but is he gonna be good?

I like how he blames Hurd for being too heavy, but on the other hand calls Jacobs the best middleweight saying that he defeated Golovkin.
