At the beginning of this tournament, few boxing fans gave Yunier Dorticos a chance. Today, he emerges as a serious contender to win the tournament. His impressive victory via KO in two rounds against Kudryashov gave Dorticos the favor of many fans.

I.picked dorticos before the tourney and saw nothing to change my mind.

think gasdiev will beat him tbh. not sold on dorts chin as hes been down, was kod in amateurs, and was obviously bothered by kalenga. gassiev took shots from lebedev like nothing and i think hell outlast dort. also think gassiev has tighter punch technique, though he is more one paced.

btw not giving dort much of a chance before the tournament but then giving him a big chance because he beat that overrated, recently knocked out sloth kudryashov is just stupid.kalengas better than kudryashov and much tougher.

I could see that if it's the first time somebody saw him fight. Which I think would account for the last majority.

Should be a very good scrap! I expect a KO.. Then week later, we have Usyk vs. Briedis.. I like back to back weeks on boxing. And it's all related.

I think Dorticos is knocking Gassiev out. Gassiev is a plodder with a ridiculous chin and power. Anyone putting Lebedev down can well and truly bang.

But the Lebedev fight was close a 115-112 or 114-113 fight. Gassiev shown he can be out boxed and easy to hit. I just think Dorticos is a more well rounded fighter.

Think this will be a barnstormer though.

Still unsure but he dealt with the biggest puncher in the division easy enough

but eric fields put him on his ass and he had hell with kalenga, but you single out gassiev beating lebedev?its like ppl rate dorticos too highly now because he beat by far the worst fighter in the tournament

If they do, you certainly balance it out by downgrading him Everytime he's mentioned and never mentioning that Denis had seen much better days.

im just keeping it real. ppl act like theyve only ever seen the kud fight and then overrate that. leb had just unified and hadnt shown much if any decline.

Many of them probably only have seen that fight. That's not a criminal offense.

This fight is pretty hard to predict. Both of them are fast and hard-hitting. I just expect a good showdown.

A very even poll right now. Wonder who will come out on top. I think we're all agreeing it will not go the distance. The question now is, how many rounds does this go?

I (also) cannot see it going the distance. I am leaning toward Gassiev wearing him down and taking him out mid to late.

seen the fight will prob be in russia. dorticos won on road in europe before when he came back from down on points to stop kalenga late.

I thought it would be USA. Both tend to figh there.

Leaning towards Gassiev slightly because from what I've seen he looks the more adaptable of the two but the only outcome that would surprise me is that if this goes the distance! Someone is gonna get hurt here man!

This fight and the other semi final are both top class! Great way to start the year!
