2017 was a big year for Mayweather Promotions. The Las Vegas based promotional outfit put on several shows in venues in Nevada, California, New York, and Washington DC. They put on seven shows in Las Vegas alone.

Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe said that they plan on continuing to increase the number of events they put on as they expand their roster.

With Floyd Mayweather retired again after his August knockout of UFC superstar Conor McGregor, the full focus of the company will again be to build more champions.

"We have 41 fight fighters now as opposed to a couple years ago when we might have only had 12 or 15 so that has been the biggest difference. Hats go off to my staff. I have a wonder stand and they keep things in order. They keep these shows rolling. It is a great position to be in. We put on great events every time that we go out. The fans are loving the fights and they are great for TV," Ellerbe told BS.com.

According to Ellerbe next year will be the biggest year ever for the company. They plan on signing more prospects and are confident that their current roster of prospects and contenders will continue to progress.

Three of their top fighters, former two-divison champion Badou Jack, unbeaten former super featherweight champion Gervonta Davis, and 168 pound contender Ronald Gavril are expected back in action in the first quarter of 2018.

"We are constantly growing and '18 will be our best year to date. I have my eye, me and Floyd, on some outstanding young talent that is going to soon be signed to Mayweather Promotions and it is going to be a very good year. Badou is going to have a big event coming up at the top of the year - Gervonta, Ronald, those are the guys who are at the forefront of Mayweather Promotions and we are just excited about 2018," said Ellerbe.

I get mixed up who's a "Money Team" guy, and who's a Haymon guy sometimes. I know it's fairly regular you see TMT promoted cards on TV, but not many of the fighters names have stuck in my mind just yet.

I don't care who's on the Mayweather team or how many fighters they have.. I just want to see the best fighting the best instead of promoters matching their fighters against each other or fighting bums.. And the selling of half-assed fights as major events.. Too much garbage is peddled and there're aren't enough competitive fights where it's very hard to tell who the winner will be.. There's no drama out there or risks taken.

Ishe Smith
Ashley Theophane
Thomas Dulorme
Ronald Gavril
Badou Jack
Andrew Tabiti
Gervonta Davis
Mickey Bey

Those are the names I can remember, which isn't bad considering TMT are merely a fledgling promotion.

People are too fûckîng harsh with their derogatory opinions in this forum.

People forget that Haymon runs a different business model, because he doesn't usually allow his fighters to sign long-term contracts with promoters and TMT are a promoter.

And we all know that TMT has very close affiliations with Haymon, so they may occasionally promote big name fighters on a per fight basis.
