Well fair play, I think the press attention (well from the internet and boxing mags) for this fight has been pretty good (the headline made the cover of boxing monthly).

I was startled to read when watching the boxing on BEN today that the ticket office are now doing a two for the price of one for the tickets. I was hoping that they would nearly all be sold out by now.

I have the feeling that there maybe a few empty seats for the anticipated bout.

Incidently, I thought it was funny that BEN were printing DANNY Hayes instead of David Haye. Isn't that the twat from Savage Garden.

Not that i like to admit these things but i think it is DARREN Hayes...lol i only know because a guy at work was a selling a pirate copy of his new album and i enquired who he was

Anyway can someone confirm the times for Thompson-Haye tomorrow on the Beeb please? Tonight as far as i can fathom Alexander-Takaloo is on at 10.00PM and then repeated at 02.00AM and repeated again tomorrow morning at 08.00AM for all you early risers.

Thompson - Haye is on Grandstand on Saturday, mate. 1.20 I think.

the fight was mentioned on London Today as well, in the little 10 minute round up of news they do during This Morning. They had footage of Haye training etc... so hopefully some londoners would of seen that and fancied going out for a night at the fights.

Wonder if it is the location which is putting people off? The east end is a boxing area anyway, whereas Wembley is a dead zone which is a complete bastard to get to.

Absolutely fornicate all in the so called London Evening Standard. What a bunch of wnakers at that paper.

To be fair to the London Evening Standard they do have a weekly boxing column which is more than most papers. Also they did preview the fight last night.

If it has sold poorly it will be a shame but Wembley on a Friday night is a tricky one for a lot of people. Hope it has sold well though as a fight like this deserves a good crowd.

You dont call what they scribbled last night a preview do you. Canadian hockey got more ink than Haye - Thompson.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not defending them but they have still done more than other papers.

Did the Scum have anything in it? They've provided a bit of build up recently when they had an online Q&A with David Haye.

They had a small column about Takaloo alexander...with a pic of Tak, and a couple of paragraphs about the Haye fight...with Haye saying he wants to retire by 30!

That doesn't sound too promising, a boxer at his stage of his career talking about retirement already!.... you'd think that at this point it'd be the furthest thing from his mind!.
If Thompson can get into the 4th or 5th rounds ok I pick him to win this one!...

I have been wondering about ticket sales since I saw a few competitions giving away a load of tickets in BN and other places.

Not a good sign.
