It has to be asked

Since this seems to be brought up alot in big fights. Can Rigodeaux win a decision against Lomachenko? Looking at how the deck is clearly stacked against Rigondeaux, can he win a decision in a close fight?
I just don't see any way Rigo wins short of a white wash with multiple KDs or knock out. I just see the deck stacked against Rigo in every way even if he proves to be the better fighter. No way Rigo gets a fair shake, even while everything else stacked against him.

I don't see any reason why Rigo wouldn't get a fair shake.

So you're saying there will be absolutely no politics at all involved in this fight? Even with both fighters history and public images created by the media? Sorry but I have to call B/S on that.

Why do people persistently believe in unsubstantiated conspiracy theories?

He wouldn't get screwed if he actually deserved the decision if that's what you're asking. He's not gonna though.

Lomachenko was already nearly robbed TWICE!!! ... They rigged the judges and referee for the Lomachenko-Salido fight and Loma couldn't get a rematch to save his life... They put Lisa Giampa in to judge the Lomachenko-Russell fight... Did you see her score???? OUTRAGEOUS!!!
If ANYBODY get robbed in this fight it's going to be Lomachenko... Don't be blown away if it's another Ward-Kovalev affair -- where all the commentators saw Kovalev as the clear winner -- then came the 3 coordinated scorecards that all gave the 10th round to Ward.

Salido beat Lomachenko legitimately. I don't doubt at all that Loma would win a rematch, but Salido's win over him was deserved.

BULLCRAP!!!! ... Lomachenko landed many more clean punches and was hit with at least 50 low blows that the referee ignored.

I think he has to win on KO and even then it's very doubtfull if he actually receives the win, last time he did KO is opponent, but still didn't receive the win anyway.
*Rigo needs to win on KO, since Kalan his post this might have been unclear.

I'm not one to scream fix or cry about a bad decision before the fight takes place, so I'll wait and just hope it is a great fight.

Rigondeaux has a well deserved reputation as a masterful boxer. I don't think it'll be a case of him being robbed. Hopefully not anyway, in a fight between 2 double Olympic gold medallists, the last thing we want to be talking about is judging.

I think that we'll get a fair decision in this fight. I really do. The loser of this fight, provided that it's somewhat competitive, is not going to lose anything in the public eye. In fact, I think that Rigo could gain a bunch of new fans with a inspiring fight win or lose. Loma already lost to Salido and his purses have been going up every fight so he won't lose much with a loss either. If Loma whitewashes Rigo though, then the Lomadinks will be out in full force saying that he's better than Muhammad Ali and Bruce Lee combined. I hope to God that doesn't happen.
It's not like the GG/Canelo fight in which Canelo and Golden Boy would have lost everything with a loss. It's those fights where a win is life or death for the fighter, the promoter, the city, the casino...that's when the fix is in. Not in a fight like Rigo and Loma.

That is so wrong headed I can't believe it... They had that fight rigged for Salido from the start... He came in way overweight and never attempted to make weight... He knew he'd lose his World Title but the main scam was robbing Lomachenko in his 2nd pro fight... Lomachenko clearly outscored Salido and nearly knocked him out in the 12th round -- despite being hit with at least 50 low blows that the referee totally ignored except for occasional hand motions on the more egregious low shots.. He was NEVER going to call time to issue a warning or take a point.

The fact that Salido won is proof that it wasn't rigged. If they were looking to give anybody a boost, and make a Boxing Golden Boy out of 'em there it was Lomachenko. Nobody is rigging a fight for a guy with double digit losses. That's what we love about Salido, everything he gets he has to earn the hard way.
He did come in overweight, and get away with a lot of low blows though I'll give ya that.
That being said, as other fights have shown in the past. If the referee ain't gonna call it, it's fair game, and there's nothing stopping the guy from doing more of it.
Lomachenko to his credit handled that sh*t like a man, and never made much of a fuss about the low blows. He just kept fighting.
Considering when it took place in Loma's pro career, I still consider it a fantastic performance for him in spite of losing. He was in control at the end of the bout which showed right there what a tremendous athlete he was, and in spite of never having been in a hard 12 round battle, he finished strong.

It gives them a way to cover their misguided predictions.
