Jerry Quarrys best performance?

What do you think was Jerry Quarrys best performance? I've just rewatched his victory over 'Big' Ron Lyle. At the time Quarry was seen as the sem-retired veteran, whilst Lyle was the unbeaten puncher. The winner was hoping to get a shot at George Foreman.
Quarry turned up in great shape and for once his mind seemed focused on the job. He put on a tremendous display of offencive Boxing aginst the dangerous Lyle. He used a lovely double left hook to body and head to good effect throughtout the full 12 rounds at the MSG.
Quarry almost got Lyle out of there a few times in the 5th, 7th and 8th. But Lyle showed plenty of heart and recovered to fight back strongly playing his part in a competative and highly entertaining 12 rounds.
I have not seen too many of Qarrys fights but on this night he looked class, if he had fought the same way against Ken Norton he may have won that one as well IMO.
So guys what do you think was Quarrys finest hour?

Quarry-Lyle was a great fight. Both fighters left the fight looking good-Lyle didn't look bad, its just that Quarry was that superb. Unbelievable stamina, and he tooks some big shots.

This guy Quarry would have been world champion today. He had some real scuffles. I think his best performance was when he KO'd Earnie Shavers, one of the most feared hitters and KO artists of the heavyweight division of all time.
Quarry had a good performance also vs Joe Frazier (fight #1) for the NY World Heavyweight Tiltle (LKO 7). I would like to see this fight on tape. C'mon ESPNClassic, show me some fights!!!
One question: Is this Jerry Quarry has the qualifications to make it to the International Boxing Hall Of Fame???

No doubt, look at his resume: Patterson, Lyle, Foster, Mathis, Shavers, and Spencer speaks for itself. Thats more impressive then friggin' Lennox Lewis's record . . . .

If Norton is in the Hall Of Fame then Jerry Quarry should definately be in there. It's so sad though that Jerry would not be there to enjoy it.

I don't neccessarily disagree...but Norton was a cut above...Norton managed to beat Ali & break his jaw in the process...he then fought Ali twice more and both fights were as close as you can get...Norton also got a piece of the championship when Leon Spinks refused to defend against him...the same 'piece of the title' that Larry Holmes started out with...Norton also fought Holmes very tough...another 'as close as you can get' fight...The 3 Ali fights and the Holmes fight put Norton on a higher plain than Quarry, in my opinion...Jerry didn't last the distance in both Ali fights...and he wouldn't have against Holmes either...Norton achieved more in his career than Quarry...
