What is next for Rigo?

Not a good way to end his boxing career. Unlike many others i like his boxing style a bit. What do you like to see?
- retire from boxing
- get a title shot at 126 (Mares, Santa Cruz, Russell ? He can defeat all of them IMO)
- Stay at 130, maybe Miguel ROman is interesting option
- fight against some no namers
Bad for him is, that probably no matchmaker want to pay him for fight

Retire hopefully.
Rigo was awful for boxing. I'm glad he quit like a bitch and is hopefully gone.

Complain that boxing hates him, says they stitched him up, the referee was against him and make excuses. It's what he's done through his career so far, so why change now?

On one hand, I’m bummed that this fight was such a loser from the start and failed to entertain me for a minute.
On the other hand, we don’t EVER have to hear how Rigo is the best ever ever again. No more P4P Lists. Career=ruined with those 2 words- no mas. Pathetic.
Hey Rigo, pull up the tape of Cotto last week fighting with one arm. That’s how you go out. Punk.

First I give tremendous credit to Loma for the win. He came to fight. What Rigo did though, is take away satisfaction of what we all could have seen. What a black eye for boxing.
Imagine if every fight we see when one guy is dominating half way through, and the other guy just quits because the going is getting tough? His trainer should have told him to suck it up and fight and don't quit like a coward.

Retire and play checkers in Miami.
He wasn't getting beaten up badly enough to quit.
Why didn't he try to land a bomb?

I'm not always against quitting. Shannon Briggs could have quit against Vit and Abdusamalev could have quit against Perez.

..neither am I..I believe this time though it was a different kind of quitting ..a result of frustration, helplessness, unwillingness to continue..

Agree. He had only about 25 minutes in front of him. What else did he have to do?

Hopefully he retires; he stinks. He did virtually nothing after the first round except hold and survive. Pathetic.

No fights for him at super-bant.. he should fight at featherweight. Most the guys there went from super-bant to avoid him. So he can trap them there.
Galahad wanted to fight him.
He can fight LSC, Frampton, Quigg etc too.

He has lost to the guy, who is considered the best there is by many. He was outclassed, but wasn't battered or something like that. And that was even not in his weight-class. He can move down or search for some other big fights. He's still able to box. Yet he has nothing to prove. He can continue for some time for extra money, probably he will.

I do wonder if he just turned up for the payday against lomo, he didn't really seem to have much self belief in there. He just tried to survive. I think once he realised there was a fair chance of getting beaten up, he wanted out ASAP.
It didn't seem the performance of a guy who believed he could win.

..should go back to his weight, fight a decent/top guy, win and retire..

I think he should retire. Any aura of invencibility he had is way gone now and his heart isn´t in the sport anymore apparently. Why continue? Who wants to pay to see a faded Rigo continue fighting?
Of course he can still win a title in his weight class again but it´s only a matter of time before some other younger, hungrier fighter makes him quit again.

Pathetic. Billed as the best fight of the year, it was the worst fight of the year. His pay for last night should be withheld. Let's see the x-rays of the "injured hand".

At nearly 38 years of age and only appearing on average once a year, his best days are behind him. He had a good run. Won a lot of title fights and his only defeat ( thus far ) is to Lomo. Think he should leave it at that.

You are fornicating delusional. Rigo is nothing more than a loud mouth and a coward, and proved it to the world.

Duran was a big pussy for quitting also. I won money on that fight, one of the few I have ever bet on. SRL fought stupid in the first.
That doesn't change the cowardice that Rigo showed last night. I doubt he even fights again. He should be embarassed, just like Walters and go away. Anyone with decent skills with a high work rate is bad news for Rigo.
