I think Loma would have too many tricks , angles and activity for a 2001 version of FMJ.
It's incredible how multi-dimensional and how sharp in a smart way is Loma. I have Rigo atm beating guys like LSC, J. Magdaleno, G. Russell Jr., Valdez and Lee Selby very decisively but what Loma did to him is out of this world.

Loma didn’t do much to entertain either so let’s not get crazy about Floyd comparisons yet. Loma when not crying to the ref, was just a bunch of nervous energy. They both fought like they’d be fined for throwing power punches. Worst fight of the year. Rigo deserves most of criticism but I wasn’t impressed with Loma either.

But I can’t ignore the fact that Loma’s last 4 opponents quit before the end. I can’t say that I’ve ever seen that as a streak for any fighter before. Hmmm

I wonder the same thing Caldo. Its not like the quitters were ready to get KO'd. It smells and looks like someone paid Rigo to quit when he did. Absolutely bizarre. He has been in much more trouble before in fights and didn't quit.

Activity is the key. I think prime floyd had to low punch output and loma wouldve outlanded him. Also the angles. Rigo or floyd have excellent footwork and are superb boxing in angles, but lomas footwork and footspeed and how he does angles are from another galaxy. Loma has the best footwork ever with meldrick taylor kind of handspeed. Truly goat contender.

True. Loma is a very special athlete but also his training methods and discipline brought him this high.

Yeah, Floyd would wait Loma to accumulate enough wear and tear to look beatable then fight him at 140 lbs after some time. Not to mention about the ref, judges and venue.

Yes. Atg train differently. Pac blazing speed at the mitts, always training 100%. Floyd also training without many pauses. Loma with his eye mind coordination training. Aside from god giving talent these guys trained at the highest level.

Real win, fake win. Thats the difference. To the boxer who i felt won is the winner. Official results in boxing can be as fake as hollywood society women, so they dont exist for me. I decide for myself who won or lost.

Castillo won against mayweather.
Maidana won against mayweather in 1 fight.
Maidana won by dq in the second fight, fliyd was clinching to much. I deducted a point, later dq him. Look yesterday, that was a ref dking his job. Rigo clinched less than floyd did in the maidana rematch yet never anything happened for floyd. Because the ref was paid or something was wrong. The ref yesterday deducted a point and wss right.

To Lomassiah’s credit, he admitted that he did not consider this a big win due to his massive size and age advantages.

What he does have a habit of is whining to the ref when hit to the body, like a certain Russian that so many idolize on here. That appears to be a possible weakness to be exploited by a rough customer like Berchelt or Mikey.

he started whining after the salido fight. he just accepted pretty much all the low blows in that fight w/o complaining at al, very much unlike kov. now he overdoes it, its true. think its more like hes remembered the salido fight and does it because of that more than being that bothered.imo its like like someones advised him to complain after the salido fight.

kellerman actually brought it up in one of lomas post fight interviews a couple fights after, and loma said as to why complaining to the ref now but not against salido: 'this is experience'

hes more physical in clinches now too, was putting in the head and rabbit punching against rigo.

For now I'd say, that Loma would have been quite a problem for him. We need to see more Loma's master-classes to be sure in his victory in this hypothetical match up.
