I had it opposite way round 39-38 to Bobby.
But I am biased and couldn't argue either way.
I spoke to BV at some length last night, he was completely comfortable with the scoring, he knew the last round would decide it and Stewart landed two clean punches which were probably enough to nick it.
Bobby didn't know it had been cut from 8 to 4 rounds until he got in the ring - he wasn't happy about that.

Vanzie does an awful lot of talking nowadays. Then loses to a novice!

the fight being reduced to 4 rounds didn't suit Bobby one bit. Only saw the first round and a little of the second...but you could see it was going to be close. The scheduling wasn't great last night, the card started 30 mins later than it was supposed to...and the best fight on paper on the undercard was reduced from 8 to 4 rounds...and after the main event.

I was really surprised it was cut and it defintely didn't suit Bobby to do a 4 rounder, not to take anything away from Dave Stewart who did very well. I heard the licence was til 11pm and Lloyd-Taylor's bout, which would have been last, was scrubbed altogether.
Can someone tell me wot the hell was goin on with that Emmanuel Marcos guy who fought Smally? I mean he takes a few smacks, they get a bit entangled which results in a clumsy fall when he fakes a knee injury. The bout continues for a few hobbling moments longer before it is stopped. If he was soooooo injured how could he then manage to pick smally up in the ring like he'd won a title or sumat? What a joke.

Marcos should be investigated or suspended.
Nothing against him earning a living but he cheated the fans, SMall and everyone else. He clearly WAS NOT injured.
He kept forgetting he was injured, Small landed so many counter left hooks, Marcos clearly didn't fancy it.

no worries Dave shame it was so short and sweet!
Plus points great reuslt for Carl but I question Hayes conditioing he fell apart after 5 mins or so of boxing, okhe was putitng alot into it but it did look like he lost his zip after a round and ahlf. Which is ludicrous.
Well done to Carl, hopefully he van get one last big payday, as for David no shame losing to Thompsons but its a bit of eye opener, maybe he can start rebuilding now there certianly a bit to work on.
Im a bit gutted I must admit but maybe it was too much too soon, maybe the occasion got to him whatever the point is learn fomr it and come back twice as hard, he is only 23 and has time to take stock and push again for a big name.
