British fans say that Wilder is scared of Whyte

They say that Wilder is going to fight Ortiz because he is scared of their hero and talented boxer like Dilian Whyte
Well i see even Malik Scott beating that slow overrated bum Dilian.
Ortiz is 3x bettter and skilled boxer than some random novice bum like Whyte.
Well Whyte would get outboxed by ones like Hughie Fury or Malik Scott

Ortiz would be a 3-1 favorite over Whyte.
Fans used to say that Wilder was afraid of Ortiz. DW appears to have no problem taking on the big Cuban, however.
Now they say he's frightened of Whyte. As if Whyte is some tremendous heavyweight talent. Just another guy who has been banned for drug supplements.
Wilder is far too confident in himself to be frightened by any heavy out there.
Whyte's claim to fame seems to be that he outlasted trialhorse Chisora and rocked Joshua before being KO'd.
Doesn't sound like Wilder has much to worry about.

I don't know if the word "scared" is a tad harsh to describe Wilder's reluctance to face the Brit, but he rejected a career-high $4m payday for the Whyte fight and instead demanded at least $7m.
However, the WBC champ was willing to take the Ortiz fight for considerably less.
For the record, Wilder's average payday per title defence is slightly less than $1.5m.
If Deontay Wilder's mind-set concurred with your assertion about Whyte being considered as "low hanging fruit" (i.e. an easy opponent to beat), then why not accept the big payday from Eddie Hearn?
In that context alone, Wilder's actions don't appear to make any sense, do they?
Am I one of the only people from this forum to either pay attention or remember all this shît?

I think because Whyte done well against Joshua people think that means hes a good fighter. Personally I think hes not very good and it shows Joshua is not as good as everybody thinks.
However, Malik Scott doesnt beat anybody even half decent. He would just take a dive and collect his pay

Good point. Whenever you say things like
all or
never, you are probably wrong.

I like Whyte, be he has to be one of the most overrated boxers going, most people agree he lost to an aging Chisora, Breazeale is up there too.

Like he did with Ortiz?
He didn't take a dive against Wilder either, he just got caught badly by a hook.
Only the Chisora stoppage was really odd, though I think Chisora was winning anyway, not landing as clean, but he was landing more punches and harder punchs.

I dunno the wilder fight was dodgy aswell. Nobodies disputing that Wilder hits hard but that wasn't a big shot. Seems he's just looked for his 1st excuse to get out of there.
Anyway Wilder would destroy Whyte I don't think many UK fans see it any other way

Why are the people that are posting to this thread actively ignoring Deontay Wilder's refusal to take the Whyte fight for a career-high payday of $4m?
It's either due to stupidity or caused by their reluctance to acknowledge a real-world fact that doesn't adhere with their preferred narrative.

I'll bet it's hard for Iron Frost to get a free minute to make these threads as he's usually busy with his two hands jacking off Andre Ward and Wilder.

I do not give a fuk about small boxers. But atleast Ward moved up and faced "the killer". He should be praised the same way like Lomachenko. Well maybe not because it was Rigo who was moving up. I will praise Lomachenko if he moves up and faces some "killer"
That's how it works. I will praise anyone who moves up and take some real challange.
I WONT praise Canelo for knocking out Khan or Golovkin hurting Kell Brook.
And i wont praise Lomachenko for BEATING Rigo.
And yes.. Wilder and Joshua saved division from Wladimir,
Heavyweight should be about brutal knockouts and being agressive.

Don't worry, that big payday being turned down woke a lot of people up to Wilder and his way of avoiding anything meaningful
When someone turns down a huge payday for a fight they relentlessly describe as below them, it says it all.

Deontay isn't avoiding Whyte. He just doesn't want to give promotional control to Hearn if he took the fight. He can wait for the WBC to order Whyte as his mandatory and retain promotional control as well as a 70-30 split which is the typical Champion-Challenger purse break down when a purse bid is ordered. Easy work for him.
