Wladimir Klitschko

Joshua defeated Klitschko inside of Wembley Stadium in April of this year. In a wild and high-pitched battle, Joshua got off to a strong start and even rocked Klitschko and dropped him in the fifth round. One round later, Joshua himself was dropped, as the makings of a classic fight were on display.

Joshua ended up rallying and stopping Klitschko in the 11th round for his greatest victory to date. Klitschko, 41, likely is heading to retirement, and carrying with him his 64-3 record with 53 knockouts, and years and years of successful title defenses.

Dillian Whyte

It was December of 2015 when Joshua and White met inside of the O2 Arena, as both men were undefeated prospects at the time, each residing in the UK. Joshua went on to stop White in the seventh round after a wicked uppercut had him in trouble.

But White is no slouch, as he has reeled off six straight victories, including wins over Robert Helenius, Dereck Chisora, and David Allen, while setting himself up to get back into the big picture.

Dominic Breazeale

Breazeale is a big, rugged American heavyweight who traveled overseas with high hopes of upsetting Joshua at the time. Breazeale was stopped in the seventh round by Joshua last summer, yet it didn’t mark the end of his career at all.

Breazeale has bounced back with a pair of victories, including most recently stopping journeyman contender Eric Molina after the eighth round inside of the Barclays Center on Nov. 4 on the undercard of Deontay Wilder’s viscous first-round knockout over Bermane Stiverne in their rematch.

Carlos Takam

Joshua’s last performance saw him stop the very formidable Carlos Takam on Oct. 28 inside of the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Takam is one of the most durable heavyweights in the sport and Joshua predicted that it was going to take him until the 10th to score the victory.

The bout was Takam’s fourth pro loss and his first via stoppage since being halted by Alexander Povetkin in 2014

Needless to say, Joshua’s resume is only going to grow from here on out. At the moment, people are clamoring for a huge showdown with WBC champion Deontay Wilder and here’s hoping it comes off.

It was all Eddie Hearn's fault. He made everyone believe it was in the bag.

# An especially oversized log he left in the public bogs down in Camden circa 2003. All he had to fight it down to the depths with was an empty toilet roll and rolled up copy of Readers Wives he’d found stuffed behind the cistern. A life and death struggle ensued but AJ gutsed it out and came through after a heated exchange.

# Eddie Hearns ban on him wearing his Thundercats jumper after signing him following London Olympic gold. Unbeknownst to us all AJ never parted from his favourite item of clothing, which featured a faded Shera kicking a sheep in the balls. Although it was now far to small for its original purpose he wore it as a neck warmer and stuffed it down the front of his protector when on GB duty for luck. Eddie thought it would harm his public image should he be found wearing a controversially emblazoned neck warmer of a 80’s cartoon sprinkled in loose pubes and promptly had it burned when Anothony was out picking mushrooms. The mourning period took the big man to the very edge and led him to question himself in a way he’d never needed to before.

AJ's only real very good opponent was Wlad Klitchsko.

Although the likes of Whyte, Breazale and Takam are all very credible opponents... I'd probably put Molina in there as well to a lesser extent.

But in fairness, has he been ripping up the division beating the most talented of the Heavyweights - the likes of Povetkin, Ortiz & Fury - no, he's not fought them as of yet.

I expect AJ to fight Parker and defeat him - which would be without any shadow of doubt, a truly great achievement bringing together three of the belts. But there's still other very good fighters out there for him to challenge even if he does become Undisputed Champion.
