I would like to know how good is the 1950s heavyweight contender Don Cockell who fought World Heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano, like how he fought?

Don Cockell was forced to fight as a "heavyweight" due to heath problems (gland trouble, infact it caused his eventual death).
If Cockell could have remained a light-heavyweight, he would have been Champion of the World.

He would have had to beat Archie Moore. I can't see that.

Cockell was a very good, stand up basic boxer, he was strong, durable and tough, he beat the best of Britain and great yanks like Lloyd Marshall, Harry Mathews and Roland LaStarza.
I have film of 2 of his fights go to

Cockell ends the career of the aging Tommy Farr. Cockell also fought Randy Turpin and Nino Valdes.
