Best known for his association with K2 Promotions and the Klitschko brothers and then more recently IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and GGG Promotions, Tom Loeffler will be expanding his horizon and starting up his own promotional company in 2018.

"It's going to be called '360 Promotions' which signifies that we do shows all over the world and we also work with everybody, meaning it's an inclusive circle," Loeffler told BS.com.

Loeffler explained further - "The reason to start the new company is that GGG Promotions will do all of Gennady's fights, K2 will do (Oleksandr) Usyk's and Cecilia Braekus fights, in conjunction with K2 Ukraine for Usyk and 360 will give me more and leeway to sign other fighters."

The 'SuperFly2' card at the Forum on February 24th that has a main event featuring WBC 115-pound titlist, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai and mandatory challenger Juan Francisco Estrada that is being broadcast by HBO - will be under the '360 Promotions' banner.

Loeffler says his new company will also focus on building young fighters career at the grass roots level with a regularly scheduled club program.

"The club series should start in month later in March and we're looking at having it in Los Angeles. Right now it's slated to be a Hollywood-based series," said Loeffler, who says he is looking at doing five of these cards in 2018.

In 2017, Loeffler was involved in some of the biggest events to hit the HBO airwaves - including Golovkin vs. Daniel Jacobs, Golovkin vs. Canelo Alvarez, Klitschko vs. Anthony Joshua, the Supefly tripleheader.

So does that mean that GGG is no longer being promoted by anyone and Loeffler has left K2?

I think he is still part of K2 and K2 will continue to promote Golovkin alongside GGG Promotions..

360 Promotions is Loeffler's own company, his own baby that he has created.

It's a conflict of interest though. I reckon if he hasn't already departed K2, then he almost certainly will do in the short-term.

The only way that Tom stays with K2 is if that company owns a controlling stake in 360.

Loeffler's own words appear to suggest that K2 is no longer promoting GGG.

Perhaps 360 is K2's way of removing the contractual exclusivity restriction imposed on them by HBO, essentially allowing them to work with anyone rather than being compelled to work with a specific list of promoters televising fights on only one US network?

I guess it's simply a case of waiting to see what events unfold.
