His best win was probably Shane Mosley.... He gave up height and reach but outjabbed Mosley with better timing and a smoother delivery... Another bigger, taller guy he outjabbed was Joshua Clottey catching him on the chin with a perfectly timed jab and decking him... I always liked Cotto's jab...

Cotto got the jab on Floyd as well... Busted his face up a bit and had his nose bleeding really well... He took it easy and never turned it up... Probably because his idiot trainer, Pedro Diaz, kept telling him he was winning easy... Diaz told Cotto he was winning easy in the Austin Trout fight - which he lost big time... After 2 fights Cotto finally fired Diaz... The competence of your trainer makes a massive difference in your performance, so a very good one is super important.

Cotto's favorite victory was probably Cheato Margarito... He was angry when the fight was stopped cuz he wanted to hurt him bad like Mosley did... He stared at Cheato nodding his head and frowning... He hated that A-hole.

Best win was probably Shane Mosley. Mosley was not past it at the time. I would rank Mosley as his defining win.

Honourable mention would be avenging his Olympic loss to Abdullaev. It's always good to get a win in the pro's against someone you lost to in the unpaid ranks.

What was his best KO win?

Including most satisfying win, has to be the Antonio Margarito rematch.

Regardless of win/loss.. Who was his best opponent?

I think the version of Manny Pacuiao he fought was just as good as the version of Mayweather that he fought. Going to give the slight edge here to Pacman. I don't think it was the easiest fight for Cotto, his trainer can't believe he went down to 146 pounds, when he clearly needed to move up. It was his last biggest payday available at the famous 147 limit.

An assumption based on nothing but speculation.

Charges like that should be substantiated.

It's no different than accusing every fighter and his brother of being on PEDS, even though few ever fail testing.

Cotto's best win was over a still very talented Mosley. Controlled most of the fight by outjabbing, out timing and even outspeeding Sugar.

Cotto did fade in the late rounds but earned the well deserved decision at MSG.

Cotto's best opponent? That's easy and obvious. TBE Floyd Mayweather.

Not going to argue there. I picked Pacman for his best opponent. Pacman fight was in 2009. Mayweather fight was three years later.

I think Cotto was much better at the time he fought Pacman than when he fought Mayweather. But as I mentioned above, Cotto should have been at 154 at the time he fought Pacman.

Like I said, both very arguable answers. :TU:

It was a relatively competetive fight, still a clear victory for Mayweather.

I feel Mosley was his best win. It was his first, I think only, win against an A level opponent. I think it really helped put Cotto on the map as a legit top fighter in the sport.

Mayweather was his best opponent he faced.

I missed his best KO, but I'll go with Margarito or Martinez. Both were on the downside, Marg with an eye issue, Martinez with a knee issue. The revenge he got from his possible loaded gloves, career altering defeat with the stoppage of Margarito must have given him vindication. Martinez he was a sizeable underdog against, at MW.
