THE BEST OF THE REST

This competition is a fairly modern, innovative idea to the BoxRecSim.
This is the third edition of the tournament variously known as: The Silver Six (aka the "not so super six" or "the second six") tournament, which will include those distinguished fighters who have just missed on being at the top table.

These five bold competitors have been offered a place and accepted their spot in this trial of strength, speed, skill and spirit. Ad fighting for glory is (in order of ranking)

Marvin Hagler (Crease) - currently ranked 4th.
Bob Fitzsimmons (Techno89) - currently ranked 6th.
Tommy Ryan (Gilgamesh) - currently ranked 9th.
Charley Burley (Hyacinthusturnipseed) - currently ranked 11th.
Thomas Hearns (Hyacinthusturnipseed) - currently ranked 12th.
Freddie Steele (Armageto) - currently ranked 15th.

As things stand, it is currently unclear as to who will take the last place. It will either be Bernard Hopkins (BoxBuzz) - however should he choose to refuse it, Ezzard Charles (P4P1) will take the place.

The winner will receive our new n' gleaming Silver Six Trophy

Marvin Hagler (my guy) will enter without a second thought.
He still wants to prove himself and has a great hunger to succeed.

Charley Burley definitely accepts.

How long do I have to decide on Tommy Hearns? Kinda feel like Ezzard Charles deserves it more but not sure if I should just accept the invite anyway.

Less than 24 hours... It's there for Tommy if you want it.
If he doesn't take it, then Roy Jones Jr will take his spot.

I thought RJJ was a CPU? In that case, Hearns is in.

If Hearns was to pass, the offer should go to the next managed fighter,IMO.

And I must say it's pretty damn cool that some of the key World Championships along with the IBO are gonna be involved in the Silver Six. Really shows what a tremendous season we've had.

Mr Fist will run the fights when he has time.
There is still the opportunity for Hopkins or Charles to accept their place, if not Steele gets it.

Our final table looks like this:
Crease wrote: 30 Dec 2017, 07:32Final League Table: (if tied it goes to the head-to-head record)

...............................................................................F........W.....D.......L.........

And in an unprecedented outcome, Hagler & Burley tie for 1st place, as such we could have a decider next week if both Managers agree to decide the winner.
