Hard to say. Brook has started talking retirement this week and that always sets alarm bells ringing plus we've still to see how his pork pies hold out. Rabchenko can dig a bit so hopefully Brook can get a few rounds in and take a few shots etc.... Khan sounds pretty upbeat and ambitious but he's been out the ring nearly two years and is coming back off of a bad KO.

Speaking generally, Khan has a much worse style for getting older - he needs to keep his glass chin out of danger by using his speed and movement. As soon as that goes, he’s toast. Brook is much stronger and can stand & trade/counter. Brook has also taken much less damage than Khan, despite his last two fights.
So I’ll go with Brook.

Standing and trading is not as easy. You're bound to take damage. Khan says his speed and reflexes are all still there. I guess we need to see. They're both 31. At some point, standing and trading will get harder. So he may need to resort to sensible boxing.

brook does box sensible for the most part. i think it was meant that he can resort to standing and trading, not that its his style
khans actually not that smart a boxer imo, he relies hugely on speed, brook imo more polished a boxer though not quite as fast (who is ?)

btw some guy said that brook getting his eyes broken made them stronger. i wonder why tony margaritos eye onky seemed way weaker and easier to bust after it was done in

TBH, the eye was that was damaged vs. GGG looked okay after the Spence fight.

I think Brook has more miles on the clock, he's taken a couple of beatings whereas Khan has a tendency to get caught and then it's goodnight. It's true that Khan relies more on his speed and reflexes but they should still be there at 31...

They're both still in good shape. Khan's bones seem little brittle, but his chin is less sturdy too so it's a wash I'd say. They can both still go I figure.

I agree with this up to a point but Khan has been in some real wars over the years when you stop to think; Maidana knocked him from pillar to post at times in what was probably Khan's best and deserved win of his career. Danny Garcia caught him with that sickening left hook behind the ear but also knocked him down a few more times before the ref waved that one off and even though it was a long time ago, the Breidis Prescott ko was horrific, multiple power shots landing flush. Not all of Khan's defeats have been straight forward one-punch ko's like the Canelo one and I don't think too many of those can have been good for him either.
I think the problem for Brook is that his two career-shattering defeats have come in his last two fights. We know that Khan can pick himself up, change trainers etc then go again, we don't yet know if Brook can.

I am going to go with Brook on this one. He has been unfortunate in his big fights, I think going up in the weight will make him realise he is not done anytime soon.
With Khan it seems to be more mental when questioning how much he has left. He has done a hell of a lot in his career, what does he want to achieve and how much drive does he have left achieve it.

I agree too. Except we will have to see where Khan is at after his layoff. One fight will show if he still retains his speed and movement.
I think he will.

Khan versus Maidana was a cracking fight, I loved it! Back and forth entertainment, with Khan even scoring a knockdown with a body shot which had Maidana in a world of trouble.
Despite anything else you can say about Khan regarding chin, personal life etc he is one exciting fighter to watch, he's so unpredictable you just don't know which version will show up.
I'll watch :)

khan has at least as much wear imo:
took lots against maidana in a tough 12 round fight. absolutely battered in that one round especially. that was like a whole fights worth of big shots he took.
tough 12 rounds with peterson where he got hit plenty. even the same vs algeri
down against diaz and rocked several times in a tough 12 round fight
garcia landed numerous big power shots that hurt him before the stoppage
the canelo and prescott stoppages were both very heavy. those still do concusive damage
early wars vs limond etc
vs
spence, ggg, and jones 1 for brook?

Khan for me and that’s said with a heavy heart because I’m a massive fan of Kel.
I just feel that Kel’s heart isn’t in the right place anymore. I personally think he’s reluctantly gone up to 154 and despite what he has to go through to make weight would prefer to be at 147. I think that Spence defeat could have really taken its toll on him too.
Khan on the other hand seems rejuvenated and has is eyes on some truly massive fights. He’s got a massive casual following that will drag him along too. Going to be a very interesting 18 months.

Interesting thread and a tough call.... Khan relies on Speed which is the first thing to go, but Brook was broken down physically against Spence and when that happen it is very hard to recover from. I'm remembering specifically John Murray, he seemed easier to beat and easier to KO once Mitchell broke him down. So whilst I think Khan is more at risk of losing more physically, Brook might have already lost an edge psychologically. The manner of the Spence defeat leaves question marks that I don't think we will find out about until he's up against it again.

Amir khan he has been here before after the Prescott defeat and garcia defeat and didnt take an 11 round punishing battle or had a bit of a tear up with arguably the most feared fighter in present boxing, khan got sparked out cold so no serious damage were as brook took a beating off spence and off GGG which will probably mean the end if brook, his cheek bones wont last in fights and hus will has been broken,i dont think khan has quit in him brook has

Khan seems to have been on a gradual decline for a while now, his two stand out performances of the last 6 years being devon alexander and luz collazo over 3 years ago. Combination of inactivity, not really seeming to live the life of a boxer anymore and he also seems punch drunk.
Brook got beat off two quality operators in his last two fights, but gave good accounts albeit with bad endings. He should have more in the tank.

Brooks had plenty of time off inbetween those 2 defeats. Khan has been far too inactive and there's more than a possibility he will lose his next fight he's looked done since the Diaz fight.

Even if Brook is more worn, its marginal at best, and I don't think Khans power (or lack thereof) would make Brooks worn-ness a major issue.

I take it you didn't see Khan vs. Alexander
