Eddie Hearn on Thursday announced Dillian Whyte will meet Lucas “Big Daddy” Browne on March 24 at The O2 in London.
Whyte said: “I can’t wait, I hate Lucas Browne and I want to hurt him,” said Whyte, who engaged in a war of words with Browne on social media last year. “He’s said some nasty things and he’s going to have to pay for them".
A win over Browne, and Whyte is in line for a rematch with Anthony Joshua, his bitter rival whom he rocked in their first meeting.
Browne said : “I’m genuinely looking forward to coming over to the UK again and bashing Dillian."
“If Helenius and Dereck Chisora hurt him, wait until he feels how I hit. I don’t like anything about him. He’s a loud mouth and I want to take his head off".

This should be very easy night for Whyte unless he fights angry like he did with Joshua.... He could easily have been DQ'd after his flagrant nonsense following the 1st round... Making a bunch of guys jump into the ring and haul him back to his corner... His attitude hurt him bad... All Joshua did was stick to business and laugh at him -- before decapitating him.
Dillian says he hates Browne and wants to hurt him... He's always got a hate thing going

The Lucas Browne and Whyte press conference makes for amusing viewing. Browne is well spoken and pretty relaxed throughout. Whyte by comparison is an unrefined burbler and Eddie Hearn seems embarrassed for him.

Whyte comes across as a childish loudmouth fool. Impressed by browned poise.

I am taking Browne at the good price being offered. Does anyone on here know who Browne will be sparring with in the Aussie part of his preparation. I would think it would be hard to get quality heavyweights to spar that will prepare him for someone with good boxing skills. Perhaps Bam Bam or a good cruiserweight to sharpen his speed and skills after such a long lay off.
Thanks in advance if anyone knows.

Not sure who he’s sparring here, but he did say he could be sparring Derek Chisora when he heads back to England before the fight.

Apart from the likelihood that Whyte is as "mad as a meat axe" will he have too many
ring smarts for Big Daddy ?
Sportsbet seems to think so.
Whyte 1 .31 Browne 3 .27
Whyte by KO is my guess. [the 9 year age gap could be the killer]

'Father time' doesn't wait for anyone. Although Browne doesn't get enough credit for how well he moves for such a big guy, he's going to be soundly out-worked by a much younger, more experienced, more active fighter in this one.
Whyte by late stoppage or wide UD for me.

Browne wont win on points over there in Whyte's back yard, he needs a KO and I'm not sure he can do it. Still though I'm putting money on Browne for the win.

Browne-Whyte is for the WBC Silver belt.
Now I'm the first one to put their hand up and say I hate all these Mickey Mouse belts. But should Browne win, particularly if he does so in emphatic fashion, he will be right back in the mix.
