#11 on my Light Heavyweight rankings is Karo Murat. So Karo's gonna be my answer.

I thought Felix Valera handled himself well against Sullivan Barrera too. He'd be a guy to keep an eye on a little bit. I don't think he'd ever be one of the best, but I can see him cracking the Top 10.

Isn't he going to get flattened?
Why not go back down to SMW, IF he can make weight.

Valera is a solid pick...
Here's mine. Ali Akhmedov is probably the fastest-rising LH prospect right now. He's a former amateur standout and only 22 years old.

He's an idiot. I wouldn't worry about his opinion.

Way too past it to be relevant at this stage of his career.

hooper has no good case. just compare him to murat for example
damien hoopers one notable win is barely beating salamov, which isnt better than murat stopping solid boesel. murat also recently stopped a tough ukranian who one fight later took bivol the distance and was never dropped vs bivol. murat also has a stronger overall record and has never been embarrasingly kod in 20 seconds by some local nobody. and murats too good to get dropped and into wars with totally undersized thai journeymen like hooper did. murat only loses to top guys.
btw hoop is a poop person whose been arrested many times and just yet again for serious violence. could be out for a while and even more irrelevant than before

Hooper has very good amateur credentials, but he does have focus issues.
Murat got embarrassed by Bernard Hopkins and doesn't have a win that is equivalent to defeating the highly rated Salamov who was a red-hot prospect.
Getting beaten by Murat should've shown you Boesel's level rather than any statement on Murat

.
Man, you are a laughable poster. I can't believe you come out with this counter-argument. Now I know why you were afraid to say your pick.

lmao, um, ya, winning rounds (many ppl gave him 3 or 4) in a loss to hopkins is nowhere near as bad as losing to f@cking rob powdrill
salamov wasnt read hot at all, he barely beat bob ajisafe and that fight couldve easily been scores a draw, thats no better a win than murat stopping boesel. murat simply has a much stronger record too. even stopped a guy bivol couldnt and has won at euro title level for years. tell me what else hoopers done.
hooper is very chinny and not a serious contender capable of having a long term strong career. hell prob get flattened by a nobody again and almost stopped by a tiny thai again. meanwhile only top fighters beat murat.
murats just 1 example too. lots would beat hoop the poop

That's an achievement for you, especially for someone that you say is the best LH outside of the top 10?
And yes, Salamov was red-hot. The fact that you weren't following boxing at the time of his upset doesn't mean anything, or the fact that you are likely looking through hindsight-lenses.
You say Hooper isn't a serious contender when Murat is not even a serious pick. I'd easily favor Hooper over Murat.

lmao tell me where i said murats the best outside the top 10? im just saying hes better than a turd who, instead of losing to world class opponents, loses and struggles and goes down against nobodies
i watched salamov vs ajisafe before he fought hooper and he wasnt impressive at all. even at home he barely won on 2 cards. couldve easily been a draw on neutral ground.
hoopers hardly had any career of note in pro boxing and wont do much more

Fonfara had problems making LHW since some time, going back down to SMW is impossible, he is like 187cm or so
in CW, with his defence which is about blocking punches with his face he would get hurt badly, Fonfara says if Bellew did well in higher weights so why not he, but in current CW Fonfara gets blasted imo

If Murat beats Isidro Prieto next month, he's nailed on as best of the rest.
If he doesn't, then it's a toss up between Prieto and Felix Valera. Everyone else either hasn't been tested at a high enough level, or been beaten by lower level opposition.
I really don't get the Damien Hooper talk. Based on beating Salamov? Salamov who couldn't get the much smaller, fragile Norbert Nemesapati out of there, despite never being in any danger whatsoever, and struggled with nobodies? Everybody stops Nemesapati... even Schiller Hyppolite stops Nemesapati. Salamov was never anything to shout about. He's just Hooper's ONLY win who had a decent win/loss ratio...

yep, no way its hooper
salamov imo also only drew with ajisafe if that, to say he was a red hot prospect is total baloney. salamov is hoopers only decent win and of course hoop was flattened by a weak opponent and looked really poor in other fights
looks like hoop may be out a while with yet more crime issues anyway

Changes made..
C Adonis Stevenson 29-1-0 (24)
1 Sergey Kovalev 32-2-1 (28)
2 Dmitry Bivol 13-0-0 (11) ↑6
3 Badou Jack 22-1-2 (13)
4 Eleider Alvarez 23-0-0 (11)
5 Sullivan Barrera 21-2-0 (14) ↓3
6 Oleksandr Gvozdyk 14-0-0 (12)
7 Joe Smith Jr. 23-2-0 (19)
8 Artur Beterbiev 12-0-0 (12)
9 Marcus Browne 21-0-0 (16)
10 Anthony Yarde 15-0-0 (14)
This was updated prior to this weeks actions. But I doubt Gvozdyk makes any moves following his win last night.
Beterbiev is lowly ranked IMO.

I don't think a draw vs. Stevenson should elevate Jack above Bivol. Apart from the draw, he's only beaten Clev. Bivol has been a career 175'er..
Thoughts?

well jack has a win over cleverly (prob a bit faded) and draw with steve at 175
bivol has barrera and then pretty much just poor opposition
i can see it. if someone rated jack over kovalev then id think that would be poor, but bivol still actually isnt super proven, although the win over barrera was nice.
