In May 2009, Ricky Hatton lost his IBO, Lineal and RING titles, retiring afterwards.
In June 2009, Amir Khan won the WBA title defeating Andreas Kotelnik. What if, while Khan defended his title against Dmitriy Salita in late '09, Hatton had a tuneup fight, before facing Khan in a UK megafight in 2010?
I remember watching Khan-Brook on Ringside around Hatton's return against Senchenko. There was big talks then too around the three of them. Let's assume Hatton was fully motivated and with a trainer who fit his style of fighting.
