For the WBC interim Light Heavyweight title.
The winner will be the mandatory for the winner of Jack-Stevenson.

For not fighting Stevenson (repeatedly agreeing to step aside) and for ducking Gvozdyk.

Browne and Alvarez won't fight Gvozdyk.

Alvarez didn't want to participate in a fourth "final" eliminator. He never got paid to step aside.

Just because he didn't get paid doesn't mean he didn't agree to step aside. Alvarez did absolutely nothing to enforce his mandatory status.

Because he has the same promoter. I just don t get why the WBC does not put there pants and force the mandatory defense if not you lose the belt.??

Gvozdyk will win easily, then beat Stevenson. Alvarez will then fight Gvozdyk for the belt (and lose).
Gvozdyk looks better than Bivol IMO and deserves his shot at a belt this year.

Gvozdyk will win this fight pretty handily in my opinion. The true question is whether the Adonis Stevenson/Badou Jack winner will actually take the fight with Gvozdyk. The fact that the Top Rank/PBC issue will need to be resolved and the fact that Jack has already pulled out of fight with Dmitry Bivol and Adonis's recent opponents I am concerned that the belt might be dropped.

He didn't want to participate in a final eliminator because his opponent was Gvozdyk and not past-prime Pascal or Bute.

I think Haymon guys are planning to ignore/duck Gvozdyk. Promoter of Alvarez and Stevenson said that their fight will happen and that Alvarez is getting a title fight in 2018.

WBC made it clear that Stevenson/Jack winner has to fight Gvozdyk:
The WBC Board of Governors has voted in favor of the following resolution for the light heavyweight division:
1. The WBC will sanction a WBC interim title fight between Oleksandr Gvozdyk and Mehdi Amar, on March 17th in New York.
2. The WBC will sanction current WBC champion Adonis Stevenson vs Badou Jack on May 19th.
3. The winners of both bouts will fight with a split percentage of WBC champion 65%, WBC interim champion 35%.
4. Mandatory challenger Eleider Alvarez, who has already stepped aside multiple times, will maintain his WBC mandatory status to fight the winner of the champion vs. interim champion down the road.

Good on the WBC, but I'm thinking the winner is likely dropping the belt and fighting Alvarez. I can see that happening.

Yep, or Haymon gets WBC change their decision which happened before.
