Audley v Bonin / The Beeb

Remember the song that was playing in the arena when this show started? Have a look at the lyrics, was Audley sending out a message to the BBC, to his fans, or does he just like Gloria Estefan?
Sometimes it’s hard to make things clear
Or know when to face the truth
And I know when the moment is here
I’ll open my heart and show you inside
My love has no pride
I feel with you I’ve got nothing to hide
So open your eyes and see who I am
And not who you want for me to be
I am only myself, myself
I don’t wanna lose you now
We’re gonna get through somehow
I don’t wanna lose you now or ever
’cause baby I’ve finally found
The courage to stand my ground
But if you want me, I’ll be around forever
We all make mistakes
We all lose our way
But we stood the test of time and I hope
That’s the way it will stay
It’s all up to you, to tell me to go
’cause it won’t be me to walk away
When you’re all that I know
And I know that
I don’t wanna lose you now
We’re gonna get through somehow
I don’t wanna lose you now or ever
’cause baby I’ve finally found
The courage to stand my ground
But if you want me, I’ll be around forever

It was followed up by 'I'll do it my way' (I suggested it on his forum 8) ) also a song that represents Audleys career.

Headlined bills beating up punching bags.

I belly laughed at Stu Jones' description of Audley in a recent thread. He described the big man as "spectacularly weak", which sums it up perfectly.
Great stuff.

1) Everyman and his dog has been telling Audley he has not been progressing his career in the way that they would, but he has stuck to his plan as best as possible
2) How many boxers have promoted themselves and headlined bills from from early on in their careers?
Virtually every aspect of Audleys career is being done his way

What I was trying to ask is what exactly has Audley
done to justify the use of a song which repeatedly shrieks "I
did it my way"?
If the song was "I'm Doing It My Way" then it would fit perfectly.

Winning Olympic gold not good enough for you then?
Amir Khan wins the silver and everyone's going mental.

Oh so Audley was referring only to his Olympic success and not his professional career then?
I think not.

It's not clear. Either way his success should not be ignored.
I fail to see why people criticise Harrison - his opponents have been alright and he's improving all the time. I hope everyone who's been criticising him on this site apologises when he wins one of the major heavyweight belts within the next two years.

In honesty i think its somwhere in between, going to the states is defo good move, I think by the end of the year he may well have manouvreed himself into a postion for a shot at the title, as there are so many holders at present any one of the four may be negotiable.

Glda to hear someone is not blinded by media criticism.
You all moan about the level of Audley's opponents. I will quote these famous word...
"Opponents are temporary, a world title is imminent."

No mate it's you who is blinded by the words "Olympic gold medal".
Try and focus more on who he actually beat, to get a better understanding.
