Current Welterweight Division

It really is red hot right now.
Thurman
Spence
Garcia
Pacquiao
Porter
Khan
Vargas
Amir Khan throwing his name in the ring and the biggest move of all is the entrance of Terence Crawford. Hopefully Bud will stay in the division after the Horn fight as he could turn out to be the best of them all. Who do you think will rise to the top?

I think Crawford will turn out to be the Don, IMO he's probably one of the best fighters of the past 20 years, he just makes it look fcuking easy.

Wouldn't Brook be out of the welterweight picture? Hasn't he officially moved up to super welter?
When the dust clears, Spence will be the undisputed king of welterweights.
If he can catch him, I believe he'll KO Crawford. But if Crawford wants to stay on his bicycle, Spence takes a clear decision.

Spence and Thurman need to fight each other to kick this all off.
Neither Spence nor Thurman should fight Crawford until they face each other since they have a better chance at beating each other than they have beating Crawford.
Spence is tightening up everything he does the more he fights.
Thurman really should face Spence asap, because the few things he might have an advantage on Spence(Ring I.Q and experience) are quickly fading the more Spence fights.
I'm glad the Spence vs Crawford hype is gaining traction, i think i was the first or one of the first on here to mention this potential fight

I'm not sure that Thurman has a higher boxing IQ.
Spence to me, appears to be a more natural, relaxed fighter in the ring.
In recent fights Thurman seems tight. He isn't as relaxed as Spence. He appears to be thinking too much instead of reacting.
Big fight experience is the only real advantage that Thurman has. How long that edge holds up is anyone's guess.
I suspect that Spence-Crawford is a loooong way off.
Rival promotions make it difficult and the money, at this time, isn't enough to risk pitting two P4P elites.

I guess, Thurman, Spence and Crawford are the very top competitors there. They can beat anyone in the division. And it's pretty hard to predict, how it will turn out, when they will finally meet each other. Spence will probably outbox Thurman, because Spence looks like a model of a completed boxer, he kinda does everything exactly like it was written in textbooks. I also rate Crawford over Thurman and I rate him even over Spence, as Crawford is the same solid boxer from the technical side, but he looks more special, elusive and flexible.

Exactly how i see it, Spence is solid in all areas but Crawford has that extra bit of class about him, could be totally wrong but Crawford an ATG in the making for me.

I'll give you credit, yes, but I know I've been saying that a year ago at the least. I know I've been thinking about ever since people were hyping Spence after the Floyd sparring session.

I know I've been thinking about it ever since people hyped Spence off his Floyd sparring session. I've also heard rumors that Floyd hurt him bad on the last day as get back.

A lot of comments relate to a potential bout between Crawford-Spence Jr,, but forget about it, because it isn't going to happen for at least eighteen months or so.
If anyone feels I'm incorrect, then come and challenge me when this bout eventually takes place, because I won't be proven wrong about this.

Red-hot? Calm the hell down. Spence, Thurman, Porter, and Crawford are the stand outs. I don't think Thurman or Porter are p4p guys, though. Spence still needs that win to even be considered, but Crawford is the sole p4p guy in that division.
This isn't at all like SFW: Gonzalez, Cuadras, Estrada, Sor Rungvisai, Inoue, Casimiero, Ancajas, Sultan, McWilliams Arroyo, Tso, Rodriguez Jr., and Yafai. Any combination makes for great fights. Currently, 4 dudes in that one division are p4p-caliber fighters: Estrada, Gonzalez (if he isn't too severely past-prime), Rungvisai, and Inoue.

Do you want a cookie about stating the obvious or something? You aren't some profound thinker. Crawford just moved up, ffs.

When Spence does fight Thurman and Crawford, they won't be dumb enough to stand in front of him and trade. We will see both using as much movement as possible. Both can box well and are smart, but Crawford can also fight if he needs to. I'm not sure Thurman would risk that.
I think Spence beats them all, but Crawford has the skill and will to make it a very tough fight.

Amir Khan is not red hot right now.
He's been semi retired for five years & has a lot to prove before you can say he belongs with those other guys.
Pacquiao is faded, but he's still a name & has done enough in the division to warrant just about hanging in there.
The others are definitely hot right now.

That might well be so. Even if he loses to Crawford, I still think Hornie has a place inside the #10 at welter.

I feel that Spence will move up at LMW soon ( his optimal weight division). So, I am afraid that we will never see the fight Spence - Crawford, I supposing TC will stay at WW by the end of his boxing carreer.
