The BBC need to do more cards so sky have no choice and try to rivial them.. Sky have been screwing fans for years with their mismatches.

Sky dont care if hatton doesnt fight a name or calzaghe is fighting people who he is 100% win against.

CH5 are still going to show fight of the week classics which will be better than nowt. On tuesday it's Sheika v Glencoffe, with Angel Vasquez v Max Gomez the following week.

Went to a 'do' in tribute to Charlie Magri and Duke McKenzie last night in Birmingham. Both fighters made long, funny speeches (Charlie said to opponent Dave George as they waited for the doors to open at Belle Vue to make their way to the ring, "Don't worry, Dave, at least you can tell your family you were knocked out by Charlie Magri").
Duke publicly said the Beeb are pulling out of boxing altogether.
Duke was obviously massively shaken by the suicide of his elder brother Dudley in the early 80's. During a breakdown of his long career, he kept referring to Dudley as being in his corner, etc, long after Dudley had died.

if bbc boxing dies so british boxing. Sky can do what they want then with no sersious competition and give us a whole lot of new shit. Sky have been screwing the fans for years. say it anit so.

Just as a matter of interest, how do the BBC and Sky Sports viewing figures compare?

I realise that it not always possible to compare like for like, but I would just like to know the ball park figures.

Sky measure in 10's of thousands.

1.6 million watched Haye v Thompson on 18 hour delay.

I think maybe 250,000 watch Hatton on SKY live.

The only way that the viewing figures could be compared is by percentage of the available audience. As a percentage i'd bet on sky being slightly higher, but the BBC will obviously have the higher numbers. I wouldn't really know where to begin, where obtaining the figures for percentage share is concerned.
