The rancid WBC & WBA!

This piece of news slipped under the radar for me, so apologies if you already know about this…
It was announced a few days ago that Miguel Berchelt will defend his WBC junior lightweight title against Carlo Magali, who is rated 39th by the WBC, has only won four of his last seven bouts and as far as I can tell, has never defeated a world-rated opponent.
Can anyone explain the WBC’s reasons for sanctioning this bout?![[icon_e_confused.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif)
Also, why does the WBA rate Fres Oquendo as their second best heavyweight title challenger, considering he hasn’t won a fight for almost four years?![[icon_e_confused.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif)
