Over the years and at the moment. O'Hara Davies was on the boxing hour last night and big cabbage dome Bunce introduced him as the most hated guy in the sport. He's always been an irritant but I've never hated him. All this nonsense with Hearn and SunGate there left me feeling a bit sorry for him if I'm honest. He made a case for his comments on the show last night and I believed him. I just think the guys a bit of an airhead, not a bad bastard.

Today I'd say I probably can't go Broner the most out of everyone. The Smiths and 'Who let the dogs out' Joe are pretty odious characters. A special mention to Angel Garcia as well. That man is a solid gold fukkwit!

When I was growing up there was a lot of hate for Eubank and Naz. I was a fan of both guys though. Also remember Lewis copping some hate over the years as well.

Anyway, thoughts?

Hate is too strong a word really.

Angel Garcia, Broner, Davies etc, they are just divs who try to play up to the heel side of a fight. They’re all probably half decent when the camera isn’t on them.

I don’t have a lot of time for fighters who act up and play a role generally speaking. Makes them fake. Floyd, McGregor, Broner etc, all actors and fake people. Naz played a role of sorts but his tongue was firmly in cheek and you know away from it all he was probably pretty close to his boxing persona!

Eubank was/is just a bit of a weird bloke, but his act was sort of his life’s mission. He felt that he needed to ’improve’ as a person and rid himself of being the tearaway thief he was in his youth. The whole speaking properly, carrying himself in a certain way was part of that process imo.
He comes out with some nonsense but I don’t think there’s any malice in him at all. I’m biased though, he was my boxing hero as a nipper!

I couldn't stand Michael Gomez years ago. He really wound me up. Probably because he beat a few Scots the wee fukker lol. Enjoyed Burns doing him though....

I imagine the most hated man in boxing is Floyd Mayweather. Never understood his fans at all. Appreciate the fighter yes but the man is odious.

I was a massive Calzaghe fan myself so Froch rubbed me up the wrong way as well with all that nonsense but I grew to like him.
